Freeze-drying
Freeze-drying is the process of dehydrating food in a vacuum at very low temperatures (-50 C). Thanks to this method, freeze-dried meals retain their full nutritional value and high calorie content. I have tried many freeze-dried meals, but in my opinion, the ones from Lyofood are the tastiest. The portion is moderate in size, but filling enough to satisfy your hunger without making you feel sluggish – which is important during activities, such as in the mountains ;)

This is definitely my favourite product from this manufacturer out of all the ones I've tried. It tastes excellent, is nutritious and gives you lots of energy. It was perfect for a long trip – I took it with me on a five-day hike and I'm very satisfied.

Another tasty dish from this well-known brand, LYO. I took it on a five-day trek. It tasted quite good, although it had fewer calories than the macaroni with cheese from this series.
