Among the wide range of backpacks available, some can be adapted to serve as evacuation backpacks, also known as escape kits. The idea of creating such kits originated from the preppers movement, that is, people for whom it is particularly important to be prepared to survive in the event of natural disasters or other calamities. Despite the theoretically small possibility of such situations, the idea of creating evacuation backpacks has caught on very well among people who want to remain safe and independent, no matter what the situation. Such a kit should allow us to survive for up to 3 days in the event of total isolation.

In our escape luggage, we should make sure to include provisions, drinking water or water purification filters, clothing, a compass, rain protection and a fire source and first aid kit. Of course, depending on individual needs, the kit should be modified for your expectations. In our climatic conditions, it is worth considering preparing an evacuation backpack, especially if you live in flooded areas prone to flooding. In the event of river water or flooding, such a kit may prove to be our only salvation. If we want to equip ourselves with an evacuation backpack, it is worth choosing a model with high mechanical strength, waterproof and with a good carrying system. The most common liters chosen to create an evacuation backpack is between 30 and 40 liters in capacity. With such a capacity and the possible weight of such a kit, it is worth choosing a model with a padded back and an additional hip belt, which will stabilize the backpack during the march, and relieve the pressure on the spine. As for the material of construction, here products made of Cordura are highly praised. Manufacturers such as Wisport, Helikon-Tex, Texar or Pentagon have models that will work well as a carrying system for our emergency kit.

It is worth ensuring that in the event of an emergency the evacuation backpack is in an easily accessible place, which will allow you to leave the apartment efficiently in case of an emergency. Even such a small pack of pre-prepared assortment, will allow you to much more easily survive a situation that puts us far outside our comfort zone. Evacuation backpacks are also increasingly made by people who like to spontaneously escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, go into the countryside and there take a break from the pace of everyday life. Whatever your motivation, it's worth considering putting together an escape kit, especially at a time when society is even dependent on access to electricity and running water. If you decide to do so, we encourage you to take a look at the range of escape backpacks available at MILITARY.EU, the wide assortment of backpacks will allow everyone to choose the perfect model for their expectations.
