Trekking poles are specialized poles that are designed for use during mountain hiking and recreational walking. Using trekking poles while walking increases balance when walking on uneven or rocky terrain, as well as relieves stress on the knee joints. In addition, the poles increase the efficiency of the walking effort, as they support the user when traversing more difficult routes. Trekking poles are designed for people who want extra support when hiking in mountainous terrain.

The trekking poles offered in the MILITARY.EU store are equipped with external locking systems that prevent the poles from accidentally folding while walking and allow them to be easily folded and unfolded. Folding trekking poles, are made of various materials, such as carbon fiber, duralumin or aluminum. The common feature of these materials is their high resistance to damage, which is of great importance when navigating difficult terrain. Some of the poles are equipped with an anti-shock system, which cushions and absorbs vibrations while hiking. Trekking poles for the mountains are characterized by contoured handles and adjustable straps, which provide a firm grip and comfort while walking. Some of the models are also equipped with extended grips that allow you to grip them below the handle, which can be useful when climbing steep approaches or traverses.

Folding trekking poles available at MILITARY.EU are offered by manufacturers such as Fjord Nansen, MFH, Nils and Rockland. The poles are available in 2, 3 and 4 -segment designs.
