Flying jackets, also known as flyers, fleeces or bombers, are outerwear with timeless looks, style and functionality. On MILITARY.EU you will find a wide range of flight jackets from various manufacturers, including the American company - Alpha Industries. In addition to their distinctive design, these jackets will fulfill their basic purpose as an outer layer, provide us with thermal comfort, as well as protection from wind and rain during autumn and winter walks.

The classic, most recognizable, even iconic and legendary, flight jacket pattern is the MA-1 model from Alpha Industries. This pattern was intended for American pilots. Equipped with drawstrings on the sleeves, collar and waist belt, the jacket protects the wearer from excessive heat loss, and thanks to the strip under the zipper, moisture will not get inside. Five capacious pockets are available here. The MA-1 type jacket, was intended to be a double-sided jacket. The inner lining was orange, and in an emergency situation, you could wear it with just this side out, to be more easily spotted - in case of an emergency or shooting down. Manufacturers are still faithful to this more than sixty-year tradition, equipping the jacket with an orange lining. We can use it, for example, when walking along the side of an unlit road, to draw attention to ourselves and ensure our own safety. Jackets of this type are most often found in olive green and black, while especially for Alpha Industries' 60th anniversary, a model was created with the company's logo embroidered on the chest and a larger one on the back. This is an ideal choice for customers loyal to products with the Alpha Industries logo.

A development of the MA-1 model is the Injector model. The main difference is the presence of a sheep's wool collar, which perfectly protects us from gusts of cold wind. As with the MA-1, the jacket has five capacious pockets.

Jackets from an American manufacturer made of the highest quality materials like nylon and polyester, which provide very good thermal conditions and will give the jacket a long life. Thanks to the equipment with patches (NASA, US flag) you will stand out from the crowd. Men's MA-1 variant flight jackets can also be found in the offer of the Polish tactical clothing manufacturer Texar. They are a faithful copy of the American manufacturer's jackets. Made of polyester and nylon, they have 5 pockets and have welts on the sleeves and at hip height. The inner lining appears, in accordance with the original, in orange.

Texar also offers the CWU model, which differs from the MA-1 in the presence of a collar. The CWU model is also on offer from Pentagon, a Greek tactical clothing manufacturer.
