A lightweight pilot jacket in a distinctive flyers cut. It is made of high-quality, abrasion-resistant nylon and features a sweatsuit hood.
The jacket is fastened with a solid zipper. It features welts at the waist, wrists and collar, as well as a detachable hood to shield the head and neck from the wind. The main zipper is secured with an internal wind pleat for extra protection against the cold.
The model is equipped with five practical pockets:
- two inner ones closed with Velcro,
- two outer ones closed with snaps,
- one on the left shoulder fastened with a zipper.
The shoulder pocket was additionally equipped with loops for pens or other accessories and a red tag with the inscription "Remove Before Flight."
The inner part was made in orange color. This distinctive solution is related to the original purpose of MA-1 jackets for USAF pilots. In the event of a malfunction or shooting down, they had a better chance of being rescued by search services. Nowadays, this ingenious solution may work well when moving along the side of an unlit road outside a built-up area.
A velcro patch with the manufacturer's logo was placed on the left side of the chest.
