Durable full-tang construction knife, that is, with the blade tang passing through the entire handle. It will prove useful for preparing meals in the field as well as everyday use in the kitchen.
The blade is made of AUS-8 stainless steel, which is characterised by good sharpness retention and ease of sharpening. The knife can be easily sharpened on virtually any whetstone.

Great tool until I tried to cut through the breast of a domestic goose with bone on a bamboo board. Now the blade has chips along its entire length – some pieces broke off, others bent. I deeply regret the knife/cleaver and feel guilty for deciding to chop like that... Maybe someone knows how you can restore and re-harden such a knife?
The knife/sheath is very solid. It is quite heavy, which in my opinion is an advantage. The raw steel finish gives it character. The flat grind runs for about one third of the blade length, so even though the blade is thicker, it still cuts very well. It is very sharp straight out of the box. An additional plus is the patch included in the set. The leather sheath looks very nice. The downside is the rather slippery handle scales. I have already bought three of these for friends and everyone is satisfied.
