Excellent radio, very solidly made – it feels indestructible. The most is gained by purchasing the programming software with the PRG-15 cable, which allows you to connect the radio to a computer (unfortunately, it is not currently available at militaria.pl). Programming opens up a lot of new possibilities – if you are looking for more than classic PMR offers, especially compared to the great Motorola T series, then this model with the software is an excellent choice. Full customisation of channels, codes, button functions, change of various settings, scrambler, squelch. You can scan the frequencies according to your own preferences – the radio can scan all 16 PMR channels every 3.5 seconds, plus various scanning modes. Thanks to the FM radio, you can be on a selected channel and listen to your favourite stations (e.g. RMF, ZET) at the same time, and when someone speaks, the radio automatically switches to the conversation. The speaker is of excellent quality, which is especially noticeable when listening to music. Illuminated buttons and screen, completely waterproof. Rotary knobs for adjusting channels and volume. The battery lasts a very long time, unlike some Midland XT models – here, it's really good and works for many hours. I haven't checked the operation time declared by the manufacturer, but subjectively it's excellent, and if necessary, you can buy an additional battery pack. The battery holder works a bit stiffly, but it's a solid device reminiscent of a tank. The clip is much stronger than in the Midland XT70 and XT70 PRO models. In my opinion, this radio is an excellent choice and worth its price, especially if you also use the optional software and cable.

The device operating on a frequency of 446 MHz (PMR) offers a range of up to 12 km. In urban areas, the range is typically 1-2 km, while in lightly built-up areas with few trees, the achievable distance is 4-6 km. In open terrain, with no obstacles between the antennas, the range attainable is 12 km. 99 channels, Scrambler function
The two-way radio supports 99 PMR446 channels, 50 CTCSS tones and 105 DCS codes. The G18 Pro model allows customisation according to user needs, including unlocking features such as FM radio and Compander. However, this requires programming the device using optional software and a PRG-G15 cable, which are not part of the set, via a PC. The Scrambler function enables private group communication. The built-in VOX function allows automatic audio reception and transmission without pressing the transmit button; simply start speaking, and the two-way radio will switch to transmit mode on its own.
Durable construction, IP67 rating
The housing made of durable material is complemented by an internal sealing system, providing water resistance compliant with the IP67 standard (full protection against dust and protection against immersion in water for up to 30 minutes at a depth of up to 1 meter). The device also meets military standards MIL-STD810G.

I recommend it, the device is comfortable, sturdy and very easy to use. It worked perfectly both during mountain trips in the Bieszczady and at the lake. Another person was using the G9 Pro model and at a distance of about 1.5-2.5 km the communication was clear and without any interference.
