ESS Crossbow Lens Hi-Def Copper

Replacement ballistic visor Crossbow Hi-Def Copper is a top-class protective element with increased contrast, compatible with all models of glasses from the Cross-Series, including Crossbow, Suppressor, and Crosshair. The set also includes a convenient, interchangeable nosepiece. All visors from the Crossbow series offer 100% protection against UVA/UVB radiation, and their durability complies with ANSI Z87.1+ standard. Additionally, the visor has successfully passed ballistic tests MIL-PRF-31013 with .15 calibre. The set includes a nosepiece.

durable visor

The visor made of durable polycarbonate with a thickness of 2.4 mm provides high resistance to damage and deformations. Thanks to ESSOPTICS technology, all optical distortions are eliminated, and full protection against UVA and UVB radiation is ensured. The ClearZone FlowCoat technology makes the visor resistant to scratches and fogging, significantly increasing user comfort. Visible light transmission at a level of 32% ensures excellent visibility in various lighting conditions, and first-class optics provide clear and precise vision.

protective standards and certifications

The model meets certified resistance class F, providing protection against mechanical damage from direct impact (object with a diameter of 6 mm and weight of 0.86 g, moving at a speed of up to 45 m/s). Additionally, the visor meets standards:

  • ANSI Z87.1 - 2010
  • MIL SPEC MIL-PRF-31013 (Clause 3.5.1.1)
  • EN 166:2001, EN 170 and EN 172

EN166 feature
EN166

EN166 is a European standard for optical requirements and mechanical protection for glasses and goggles. Optical requirements include light transmission and diffusion, refractive properties, heat and UV resistance, corrosion and ignition. Mechanical protection is the resistance to object impact, within which there are 4 levels designated by the letters S, F, B and A, where S is the least protection and A is the highest.

EN172 feature
EN172

EN172 European standard specifying markings and transmittance and corresponding test methods for sunscreens that protect against solar glare.

ANSI Z87.1 feature
ANSI Z87.1

Z87.1 standard developed by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) for the durability of eye protectors. The standard includes two types of tests (3 tests) for the impact resistance of the lens and the stability of its seating in the frame: resistance to High Mass and High Velocity objects.

EN170 feature
EN170

EN170 standard specifies protection levels and transmittance requirements for UV protection filters. Protective glasses complying with this standard provide the necessary protection against excessive ultraviolet radiation, which can lead to loss of visual clarity and deterioration of vision.

MIL-PRF 31013 feature
MIL-PRF 31013

MIL-PRF-31013 is an American military standard that covers the requirements for protective glasses that provide ballistic eye protection. The standard specifies the glasses' ability to withstand the impact of a .15-inch (3.8-mm) steel bullet weighing 0.376 grams at 200 m/s.
