At this price, I give the product a 2+ rating. The construction is very unstable, even after locking the pivot. The plates are too narrow and short, and the diamond quality does not make a good impression. The connection between the guide and the plate is poorly designed. The two additional guides seem unnecessary – one just gets in the way during sharpening. The selected sharpening angles are also disappointing – 20 and 25 degrees are a weak option for most knives.
Benchstone by Work Sharp is a diamond sharpener with gradations of 320 and 600, supplemented with an additional ceramic plate. The robust design allows precise sharpening of both smaller and larger knives.
Three sharpening surfaces are set on a rotating block, which significantly improves the sharpening process. The whole is mounted on a polymer base with non-slip feet, ensuring stability during operation. The set includes 20° and 25° angle guides, which help maintain the correct sharpening angle. Diamond inserts restore sharpness, while ceramic inserts are used for final smoothing of the cutting edge.
The Pivot Response system makes the sharpening block respond to pressure, adapting to the blade profile for more efficient sharpening. This function can be locked if necessary.
Set contents:
- sharpening block,
- non-slip base,
- 3 replaceable sharpening plates,
- 20° and 25° angle guides.
Instructions for use: before use, wet the stone with water or use sharpening oil. Place the whetstone on a stable, level surface. To sharpen the knife, make several even strokes with the blade on the surface of the stone - first with one side, then with the other, keeping the appropriate angle.

A set that does not cost much, but is really worth recommending. Thanks to the guides, even a beginner user can handle it.

Great set at a good price. You can buy replacement plates and guides if they wear out (though I doubt that'll happen anytime soon). You can easily sharpen even large knives. What I liked the most was the idea of the moving design, which makes sharpening the knife tip much easier. It's a pity there are no plates for sale with other grits than 360/600 – an 800 or 1000 grit would be nice, maybe something can be adapted. Definitely recommend!

Very good device, great idea with the guides – perfect for sharpening and learning to maintain the proper angle during sharpening.

Excellent sharpener for both small and large kitchen knives. The three sharpening surfaces allow you to sharpen the blade very precisely and nicely. For someone with some experience, this equipment is highly recommended.

I wholeheartedly recommend this system. For two years, I've been sharpening all my knives on it: pocket knives, folders, and kitchen knives, all the way to a sharpness that allows shaving. Now I bought a second set to have room for two extra diamond plates and a leather strop. It's truly an excellent system – and the Work Sharp diamond plates are outstanding.
