Trangia

Trangia is a renowned brand from Sweden, known primarily for producing reliable camping stoves and outdoor cooking sets. Its products are appreciated by travelers, bushcraft enthusiasts, scouts, and all outdoor activities enthusiasts.

Origin and history of the brand

The Trangia brand was founded in 1925 in the town of Trångsviken in northern Sweden. Initially, the company manufactured kitchen utensils for households, mainly for farmers and workers. A breakthrough moment was in 1938 when a vacation reform was introduced in Sweden, increasing interest in nature trips and camping. In response to the growing demand for outdoor equipment, Trangia began working on its cooking system designed for use in the field.

In 1951, the first prototype of the Trangia stove was created – a complete set consisting of a burner, pots, and a windshield. Since then, the brand has become one of the leaders in the outdoor industry, and its products are used by successive generations of adventure lovers worldwide. The company remains in the hands of the founding family and continues to produce its wares in Trångsviken.
