A rotating ring with declination scale and a large compass dial filled with liquid help to determine the direction accurately. The body features rulers in centimeters and inches, an angular measure (up to 35 degrees), and a 1:25000 scale to help calculate distances on a map. 

The kit includes a durable nylon cord, allowing you to hang the compass around your neck or next to your expedition backpack.
