Manufactured by the Swedish company Silva, the Expedition 360 Global professional map compass was created for advanced users who need an accurate and extensive navigation tool. The compass is equipped with a global needle that allows navigation in all three magnetic zones. Built-in 1:25,000, 1:40,000, 1:50,000 and GPS scales allow measurement in mm and inches.
The Expedition 360 Global has been given fluorescent markings on the dial, needle and plate, which make it significantly easier to use in low-light conditions for up to 4 hours. The compass also features a magnifying glass, 90mm and 1.8-inch rulers, a pendulum clinometer and 1:25,000 and 1:50,000 scales on a soft, easy-to-remove strap. The rotating dial features a handle made of DryFlex rubber for a secure and comfortable grip.
The compass can be successfully used as a bearing tool as well as a map compass. The use of magnetic declination correction allows the Expedition 360 Global compass to be used in any part of the world.
It also comes with a card that, along with a map, allows you to assess whether you are entering a potential avalanche area and a lanyard to hang around your neck.
