Silva Ranger SL Box Compass with mirror - Black

The lightweight, compact Ranger SL is the smallest model in the Silva compass series. Due to its small size, it can easily serve as an emergency compass carried in a pocket or backpack.

Sundial function, Silva 1-2-3 system

The compass is equipped with a mirror for easier direction finding, rotating dial with a 360 deg. scale, 40 mm ruler, and a sundial function for determining time based on the sun's position. The movable compass casing facilitates navigation using the Silva 1-2-3 system.

    This device is light and compact, but precise enough to help you set the right course. It doesn't offer the same reliability as a button compass, which can give a false sense of security—in a crisis, its needle can spin in every direction and cause stress! I always keep the Silva Ranger SL safely stowed in my backpack.
