It's a bit bigger than typical miniature compasses, but still works great in emergencies or for everyday use. It determines the position accurately and fairly quickly. Besides that... it looks really nice :)

I have as many as three of these, they fit everywhere because they are very small and always work flawlessly.

This device is lightweight and compact, yet precise enough to help you set the right course. It doesn’t provide the same sense of certainty as a button-style compass, which gives a false sense of security—in a crisis, its needle can spin in any direction and cause stress! I always keep the Silva Ranger SL tucked away in my backpack.
