Silva Ranger SL Box Compass with mirror - Black

Lightweight and compact, the Ranger SL is the smallest model in the Silva compass series. Due to its small size, it can easily serve as an emergency compass carried in a pocket or backpack.

Sundial function, Silva 1-2-3 system

The compass is equipped with a mirror for easier direction finding, rotating dial with a 360 deg. scale, 40 mm ruler, and a sundial function for determining time based on the sun's position. The movable compass housing facilitates navigation with the Silva 1-2-3 system.

    This device is lightweight and compact, yet precise enough to help you set the right course. It doesn’t provide the same sense of certainty as a button-style compass, which gives a false sense of security—in a crisis, its needle can spin in any direction and cause stress! I always keep the Silva Ranger SL tucked away in my backpack.
