The professional Expedition S map compass from Silva. It was created for advanced users who need an accurate and sophisticated navigation tool.
The Expedition S has been given photoluminescent characters on the dial, needle and plate, which significantly facilitate its use in low-light conditions. The compass also features a mirror, magnifying glass, 85mm and 3-inch rulers, pendulum-clinometer and 1:25000 and 1:50000 scales on soft, easy-to-bend tape. The rotating dial features a handle made of DryFlex rubber for a secure and comfortable grip.
The compass can be successfully used as a directional tool as well as a map compass. Thanks to the Romer scale, it can also be used as a support when navigating with a GPS receiver. Magnetic declination correction allows you to use Expedition in any part of the world.
The set also includes a card that, together with the map, allows you to assess whether you are entering an area of potential avalanche. The package also includes a lanyard to hang around your neck, which clasp unfastens automatically when it is tightened enough.
