Very good vest, extremely comfortable to use. The price is higher, but the product is definitely worth every penny. The flat and wide straps are a brilliant solution that gives you the freedom to position the buttstock pad. It's a unique product that can't be imitated.
Direct Action Spitfire Plate Carrier Tactical Vest - PenCott BadLands
Light and durable Spitfire Plate Carrier tactical vest in PenCott BadLands camouflage. Constructed from laser-cut laminate, extremely solid 500D Cordura, and softshell. The vest's design does not restrict freedom of movement, and its modularity allows it to be tailored to the user's specific needs.
durable 500D Cordura
The Spitfire Plate Carrier model is made from laser-cut laminate, durable and wear-resistant 500D Cordura, and softshell. The design allows for free movement, and its modularity enables optimal adaptation to user requirements.
solid construction, hypalon handles
The use of durable, flexible hypalon handles facilitates vest adjustment and makes it easy to use. These handles also provide quick medical access in emergency situations and are resistant to abrasion, tearing, and extreme temperatures. The design allows safe cable management at the plate pockets and Cummerbund. The front flap can be directly mounted to the vest or using Chest Rig type buckles (compatible with Mayflower/Velocity, HSP, and others); it's also possible to wear the vest without the flap. The replaceable Cummerbund has space for side plates. The rear panel is compatible with the Crye Precision AVS system via zippers. The vest also features a reinforced evacuation handle.
laser-cut system, velcro panel
The vest's surface is equipped with Laser-Cut technology holes that are compatible with MOLLE accoutrement. This allows for any configuration of gear, including pouches, containers, and pockets. There is a zippered pocket on the chest with a Velcro (hook and loop) panel, allowing for the attachment of selected patches and emblems.

PenCott BadLands camouflage
PenCott is a modern second-generation digital camouflage system developed by the British company Hyde Definition. It features a multi-layered pattern structure, encompassing micro-, mezo-, and macro-patterns.
PenCott BadLands is a camouflage version designed for operations in dry, semi-open areas such as steppes, scrublands, grassy areas, and hilly transitional terrains. Designed with environments dominated by faded vegetation, dry soil, and varied lighting in mind. The pattern is based on the same structure as other PenCott camouflages, combining realistic color noise, dense micro-pattern, and contrasting elements that deform the silhouette. The BadLands color scheme includes shades of beige, olive, brown, and light green, effectively integrating with the natural surroundings of transitional and dry areas.

The velcro panel is an area with sewn-on Velcro tape that allows easy attachment of various additional items, such as patches or pockets.
Cordura is a material woven from durable nylon fibers, developed by DuPont. The structure of the material provides lightness and abrasion resistance, as well as weather resistance. Due to its properties, Cordura is widely used in tactical equipment.
MOLLE (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment) is a system for attachment of tactical equipment, used for example in backpacks or tactical vests. It provides the possibility of flexible and modular placement of various accessories and pockets, which allows personalization and optimal adjustment of the item to the specific needs of the user. It is widely used by the military, special services and survival and outdoor enthusiasts.
LCS (Laser Cut System) is a new version of the assembly used in the MOLLE system, where instead of traditional tapes, laser-cut holes are used directly in the material. The system is much lighter than standard sewn-on PALS tapes and guarantees better camouflage. The holes are hemmed with thread to prevent fuzzing and ripping, or, as in the case of Cordura, the laser-cut edges are fused.

This was one of the last items I needed to complete my set. The vest is very comfortable and sturdy. The only drawback is the lack of a quick-release cord, but apart from that it works excellently – I rate it 10/10.
-
The vest is sturdy, fits great, and offers plenty of customisation options – definitely worth its price.
-
It's a bit small, it doesn't cover the belly button or kidneys, but I suppose that's how it's meant to be. Apart from that, it's easy to put on and take off, and it's very lightweight.
-
Direct Action is solidly built with well-thought-out solutions. Minimalist approach where necessary. I use it myself and highly recommend it.
-
There’s no need to advertise the quality of Direct Action equipment – it’s one of the best brands in this price range. The vest is comfortable, and the material on the inside deals with heat much better than typical mesh or foam. The adjustment system is quick and easy, and the ballistic plates stay firmly in place. I highly recommend it.
-
Great system, solid workmanship, a top-tier vest, first-class quality. I definitely recommend it. You have to spend a bit more, but it's really worth it.
