The shoes look sturdy, but I haven’t had the chance to try them yet. The size turned out to be smaller than stated in the table – with a foot length of 30.5 cm, I didn’t fit into size 47, so I had to return the product.
Zephyr Tactical Low ZX56 Shoes - Olive
Low-profile tactical footwear in Olive, made with an upper combining natural suede leather and textile inserts, featuring a Free-tex membrane. Ideal for uniformed services as well as everyday wear in urban or outdoor settings.
Free-tex membrane
The breathable Free-tex membrane protects against external moisture while allowing moisture to escape from inside the shoe. The three-layer construction guarantees complete waterproofing and provides thermal insulation.
EVA foam insole, oil-resistant sole, non-slip tread
The midsole and insole, made from flexible EVA foam, boost comfort by absorbing shocks and providing extra cushioning in the heel area. Equipped with a oil-resistant rubber sole featuring a well-defined tread, it delivers outstanding traction on various surfaces due to its non-slip properties.
No metal components
The shoes are designed without metal components, allowing you to pass through security gates at airports and other secure facilities without any problems.

Great shoes – after two years of intensive daily outdoor use they look practically like new. The material at the heels inside has worn a bit, but this doesn't affect comfort (I haven’t found a pair of shoes for which this didn’t happen). They are very comfortable and almost indestructible. At this price, I think they have no competition.

The shoes are incredibly comfortable and durable; you don't have to worry about protecting your toes because they're well protected. The sole provides stability, even on wet surfaces. Just be careful to choose the right size and go by the insole length.
-
The front of the shoe is quite narrow at the height of the big toe joint. According to the insole, size 41 should be a bit too big for my foot (26 cm), but because of the narrow tip, my toes were squashed, which could eventually cause a bunion. Size 42 would be too wide because the shoes are generally designed for broader feet, and mine aren't like that. The colour is darker in real life than in the photos. Both the sole and the insole are wide, so if you have flat feet, they'll work well. There are no unusual features aside from the narrowed front. The insole needs replacing, as the factory one was uncomfortable from the start.

Straight out of the box, you can feel that the shoes are stiff, but they performed well even on the first long outing (over 4 hours). My feet quickly got used to them and I didn’t get any blisters, which I was worried about. However, my feet are used to wearing heavier, stiffer shoes, so I don’t know how it would be for someone switching from softer shoes. As for water resistance, they passed the test with a good rating, but for the forest, especially for mushroom picking, models with higher uppers would be better.

When opening the box, my first impression was a very strong smell, but it disappears over time and you can calmly test the shoes outdoors. At first they are stiff, but after a few kilometres they start to fit better. They are heavy, so after a summer break this may be noticeable. The size matches what's given on the website, but I especially recommend them to people with wide feet – if your feet are narrower, you’ll need to tie them tighter so they hold the heel well. I added extra eyelets to the laces myself and now it’s great. They look rather clunky, but in my opinion they are solid and look good; the thick sole provides a sense of safety on uneven ground. If they turn out to be waterproof, I’ll be very pleased.

I bought them over a month ago and I'm happy with my choice. Pros: they are absolutely waterproof, comfortable from the first wear, and the sole prevents slipping. Cons: the sizing is big (46 is really a 47), they're quite hard (even after a month they are stiff), the round laces sometimes come undone, and the shoes are very warm, which makes it feel like my foot can't breathe well enough.

I rate the Zephyr Tactical Low ZX54 - Grey shoes very highly. The quality of the workmanship, stitching, and gluing is at a high level. The footwear has a thick protective layer for the toes and heel. They are stiff and have thick soles. Suitable for the forest, the shooting range, and even the mountains.

The shoes are comfortable, offering good protection for your toes. At first, they're a bit stiff, but after a few days they fit well to the foot. Breathability is average, but they're well suited for cooler days.

After just a few hours, I really grew to like these shoes. They seem sturdy (time will tell), but already remind me of Alpine models. They have numerous reinforcements, and the toe protection is really good (I tested it by hitting with a hammer). They look better in real life than in the pictures. They go well with Grey/Graphite camouflage. Be careful with the sizing—my foot is small and though I usually wear 40-41, here size 39 fits perfectly (25.4 cm on the chart, actually about 26.2 cm). Good quality socks were included in the set. Very good value for money.

The shoes are very comfortable, although so far I've only used them in the city and not out in the field. They stabilise the foot well, the leather looks sturdy, but it needs proper care because the suede can lose its colour if not looked after. The stitching appears durable, so I hope they will last a long time. I’ll see how the sole performs in different conditions – so far it makes a good impression. They do have a membrane, but I still recommend waterproofing them before heading outdoors, even if it's Gore-Tex – otherwise, you may find yourself unpleasantly surprised in rain or wet conditions. Overall, I’m satisfied and hope the shoes will last me several years.

The shoes are nice, they have a green colour and are a bit too big, but they have a breathable membrane which allows them to dry quickly. Although they are bulky, that’s how they’re supposed to be – good for forest and city. They are comfortable and well made.

The footwear is durable and comfortable, and even with thick socks your feet don't sweat in them. It's a shame there are no half sizes, because although I usually wear 46, this size feels a bit loose here. After a month of use, I am satisfied with them.

The shoes are comfortable to wear; I wore them all winter and I am satisfied. A nice bonus is the good quality socks included in the set. Four stars for the shoes alone, plus one more for the socks.

The shoes look great and are very well made, everything is carefully glued without any flaws. They are relatively light and quite stiff. Unfortunately, size 42 is too small for me, and size 43 is too big—my foot slides even with thick socks. It's a shame, as I really like them and regret that they didn't fit. The price and quality of workmanship definitely deserve top marks.
