This fire starter definitely deserves a very good rating, but it also has a drawback. The rod is thick and the striker is excellent, with distinct sharp edges on both sides. Unfortunately, the rod wears out faster than I expected, considering the price. Nevertheless, at the moment it is the best fire starter available in Poland, mainly thanks to the great striker.

I decided to buy this fire starter after reading many positive reviews and I have to confirm them – it sparks more easily than other models I've had. The thick rod and good striker do their job excellently.

I have a few firesteels, from the cheapest Chinese ones to branded Wildo and Light My Fire. In my opinion, Za-Pas in terms of thickness is equal to Wildo (great firesteel), but their striker/scraper is leaps ahead of the competition. With such a scraper, you have a portable 'welder'. The rod is long, which allows you to comfortably generate sparks. The intense orange colour is a big advantage – hard to lose in the field. Price is high, but as they say: better to invest once than keep buying cheap replacements.

Polish means the best. The firesteel gives a powerful spark and has a great scraper with sharp edges. A solid rod and comfortable grips on both the scraper and the firesteel. At the moment, in my opinion, it's the best choice on the market when it comes to firesteels. It costs a bit, but you buy it for a long time. I'm happy and recommend it – Polish quality!

A solid rod and an equally good scraper. Using this set to start a fire is pure pleasure. I'm writing a review about the pink model, because nobody has rated it yet :-) I used to have the black one (it might still be around), now I have the orange, and I don't think the pink one is any different.

A very good scraper. I saw Wildo in use on YouTube and I must admit that Za-Pas generates sparks just as effectively. The scraper is excellent. It works well both on the Za-Pas rod and on others I have – a real 'welder'.

Great fire starter - large and solid. That's important, because with my first purchase I got it wrong—the small fire starter didn't work at all. It has to be large enough to use comfortably—those tiny ones just aren't suitable.

Very good firesteel. Basically, it doesn't differ much from Wildo. In both Wildo and Za-Pas, the scraper plays a key role. I also have Mil Tec, but its scraper is useless, whereas these can generate a nice shower of sparks.
