It costs a bit, but it is definitely worth the price. This is a very solidly made product. Not only the fire starter itself deserves praise, but also the striker plate, which is not a pointless extra but actually helps effectively in producing sparks. At the moment, I do not see a better fire starter — it simply performs excellently. The colour scheme is also a major advantage. In my opinion, it is hard to lose because such an intense orange colour stands out immediately. It is practical, highly visible and, very importantly, it is a Polish product.

Za-Pas Mig-Mag Flint - Orange
Flint that produces a large stream of sparks. It allows you to effectively light a fire, making it useful not only during camping and outdoor excursions, but also in emergency situations. With the help of the flint you can light, for example, a gas stove, a tourist stove or a campfire, which is a source of heat and allows you to prepare a meal away from home.
Durable rod and stainless steel spark gap
The rod, measuring 9.5 x 72 mm , allows you to flint sparks over a much larger area (compared to smaller models), allowing you to light a fire up to 3,000 times. The spark rod is made of high-quality stainless steel, hardened to a hardness of 56-58 HRC, and features two curled edges for flaring. Two movements allow you to produce sparks with a temperature of 3,000 degrees Celsius, which, falling on a previously prepared fire starter, will produce a flame even in severe frost or heavy rain.
Compact size and safety cable
Thanks to its small size, the flint will easily fit in a trousers pocket or backpack. The set includes a sturdy safety cord, which protects the elements from being lost.

This is a great fire starter. It produces a very strong stream of sparks, mainly thanks to the excellent striker, which also has a bevelled tip, so when striking it rests against the ground instead of smothering the flame. The only version I wouldn’t choose is the green one, because it’s very easy to lose in the grass ;)

The price is not the lowest, but the product is worth it. The item is very durable. Both the firestarter and the included plate are of excellent quality – the plate is not an unnecessary gadget, but actually works great for striking sparks. An additional advantage is the vivid colour – it's hard to lose something orange, maybe only at the beginning of autumn could it happen. A practical product and easy to find.

Currently, I don't know a better fire starter – this one is really great! It produces a large amount of sparks, the rod is solid, and the scraper is very sharp and efficient. I definitely recommend choosing a bright colour, as it's easy to lose the fire starter in the grass, and it would be a shame to lose it.

The price is high, but it's a Polish product and... the firestarter is outstanding. I think it's the best I've ever used, even children can quickly and easily start a fire with it. Finally, there's a fire striker that doesn't require a knife to use – it's brilliant. Additionally, it's a product created by a Pole for Poles, which is especially important these days. I sincerely recommend it.

I had heard about this before on YouTube, but I wasn't convinced. It was only when I had the opportunity to try it out during a wGotowości training that I decided it was worth having such equipment at home. The stick is long enough that you don't have to struggle with lighting a fire and it doesn't damage what has been prepared on the bark. Definitely one of the best on the market and truly worth recommending.

I happen to have the orange version; although its appearance may not appeal to everyone, in the woods, if you accidentally lose it, it is easy to spot among leaves or grass. I’ve used various fire starters from different price ranges, both cheaper and more expensive, and out of all of them, this is the one I can recommend.

The Mig-Mag Za-Pas fire starter in Black is excellent — solid, thick, and packed with plenty of material, and it also has a very well-made striker fashioned from proper sheet metal. It throws sparks like mad. Because of my line of work, I’ve already dealt with many fire starters, but the Mig-Mag is without a doubt the best Polish fire starter I’ve owned so far. The price is fairly high, but the quality justifies it. It is definitely worth recommending.

I bought a MIG/MAG fire striker from the Polish company Za pas and I am very pleasantly surprised with it. I have several branded fire strikers, but none produces as many sparks as this one. Welding machine.
