This is my first fire starter and, even without experience, I was able to easily light birch bark and pine shavings with it. I have no other fire starters to compare to, but I can honestly recommend the Mig mag model.

After the first use of this fire starter, I was convinced of its reliability. The rod has the perfect length and thickness, which allows it to generate many strong sparks that can easily ignite even damp tinder. The sparks are very hot, so starting a fire is not difficult even in bad weather—which is important when camping after rain or in strong wind.

In my opinion, this is the best fire starter currently available – there’s nothing more to add. It’s fully worth its price, and with the right tinder it sparks instantly. The number of sparks is truly impressive.

After trying it at home, I have to admit it really generates a lot of sparks. At the first opportunity, I will test it while lighting a campfire in the field. An additional plus is that it's a product from a Polish brand. The fire starter is now part of my fire essentials kit, which I always keep in my backpack.
