It costs a bit, but it is definitely worth the price. This is a very solidly made product. Not only the fire starter itself deserves praise, but also the striker plate, which is not a pointless extra but actually helps effectively in producing sparks. At the moment, I do not see a better fire starter — it simply performs excellently. The colour scheme is also a major advantage. In my opinion, it is hard to lose because such an intense orange colour stands out immediately. It is practical, highly visible and, very importantly, it is a Polish product.

Za-Pas Mig-Mag Flint - Black
A flint that generates an intense stream of sparks, allowing you to light a fire quickly and effectively. Great for camping and outdoor expeditions, as well as in emergency situations. With it, you can light a gas stove, tourist stove or light a campfire, which will provide warmth and allow you to prepare a meal away from home.
Strong rod and stainless steel spark gap
The bar, measuring 9.5 x 72 mm, provides a larger surface area for flaring sparks (compared to smaller models), allowing you to light a fire up to 3,000 times. The spark rod is made of high-quality stainless steel, hardened to a hardness of 56-58 HRC, and its two curved edges are designed to generate sparks. Withjust two moves, you can generate sparks of 3000 degrees Celsius, which, when in contact with the prepared fire starter, will make it possible to light a fire even in difficult conditions such as heavy frost or rain.
Small size and safety cable
The compact size of the flint makes it easy to fit in a pants pocket or backpack. The set includes a sturdy safety cord, protecting the elements from being lost.

This is a great fire starter. It produces a very strong stream of sparks, mainly thanks to the excellent striker, which also has a beveled tip, so when striking it rests against the ground instead of smothering the flame. The only version I wouldn’t choose is the green one, because it’s very easy to lose in the grass ;)

The price isn't the lowest, but the product is worth it. The item is very durable. Both the fire starter and the included metal scraper are of excellent quality—the scraper isn't just a useless gadget, but actually works very well at creating sparks. An additional advantage is the bright color—it's hard to lose something orange, maybe only at the beginning of autumn this could happen. The product is practical and easy to find.

Currently, I don't know a better firestarter – this one is really great! Sparks fly in large amounts, the rod is solid, and the scraper is very sharp and efficient. I definitely recommend choosing a bright color, because it's easy to lose the firestarter in the grass, and that would be a shame.

The price is high, but it's a Polish product and... the fire starter is excellent. I think it's the best I've used, even kids can easily and quickly start a fire with it. Finally, it's a striker that doesn't require a knife – that's great. Additionally, it's a product made by a Pole for Poles, which is especially important nowadays. I sincerely recommend it.

I had heard about it before on YouTube, but I wasn't convinced. Only when I had the chance to try it during the wGotowości training did I realize it's worth having such equipment. The stick is long enough that you don't have to struggle to start a fire and it doesn't ruin what has been prepared on the bark. Definitely one of the best on the market and truly recommendable.

I happen to have the orange version; although its appearance may not appeal to everyone, in the woods, if you accidentally lose it, it is easy to spot among leaves or grass. I’ve used various fire starters from different price ranges, both cheaper and more expensive, and out of all of them, this is the one I can recommend.

The Mig-Mag Za-Pas fire starter in Black is excellent — solid, thick, and packed with plenty of material, and it also has a very well-made striker fashioned from proper sheet metal. It throws sparks like crazy. Because of my line of work, I’ve already dealt with many fire starters, but the Mig-Mag is without a doubt the best Polish fire starter I’ve owned so far. The price is fairly high, but the quality backs it up. It is definitely worth recommending.

I bought a MIG/MAG fire striker from the Polish company Za pas and I am very pleasantly surprised with it. I have several branded fire strikers, but none produces as many sparks as this one. Welding machine.
