SOG Specialty Knives & Tools is an American brand that was founded in 1986 by Spencer Frazier, who was inspired by the historic MACV-SOG knife used by special forces during the Vietnam War. The first model, the S1 Bowie, was developed in collaboration with Japanese master blacksmith Ichiro Hattori and quickly gained iconic status among tactical knives. A breakthrough moment in the brand's history was the introduction of the SEAL 2000 knife to the Navy SEALs' equipment - this model can now be seen in the Navy SEALs museum in Fort Pierce.
