Lightweight, short-sleeve thermoactive T-shirt in camouflage MAPA to regulate body temperature during any type of physical activity. Made of durable polyester knit fabric with very good breathability properties. The T-shirt will prove useful in tactical training, survival, ASG and recreational outdoor activities. Although intended for the civilian market, it will also be appreciated by professionals in the uniformed services.
The camouflage pattern MAPA was designed by Maciej Dojlitko, a graduate and currently a researcher at the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, author of, among other publications, Theory of Deconstruction of Visual Communication. Tools for designing military camouflage (Gdansk 2015). The innovative design, supported by convincing theoretical and experimental arguments, including computer analysis of thousands of photographs of the terrain, attracted the attention of specialists and military clothing manufacturers. In 2017, the MAPA camouflage made its debut at the International Defense Industry Exhibition in Kielce as a camouflage pattern for the Dromader system of armor and uniforms from Maskpol, which is part of the Polish Armament Group. The system was created for soldiers of the Territorial Defense Army, but the MAPA camouflage itself was also considered as a perspective pattern for the entire Polish Armed Forces, where it could replace the wz.93 camouflage. Unfortunately, the MAPA camouflage has not been implemented as an official camouflage pattern of the Polish Army to date.
Highlights of the MAPA camouflage in the basic forest variant:
- 6 colors that form layers resembling levels on a map,
- colors optimized for operations in the forests of Central Europe,
- use of the illusion of three-dimensionality and anamorphosis effect,
- biomorphic shapes making the design similar to vegetation,
- strongly contrasting elements imitating flashes of light and shadows,
- deformation of the masked silhouette using macro pattern,
- color noise reproduced by means of a micro pattern.
The MAPA pattern is an interesting alternative to the best contemporary camouflage patterns such as PenCott, MultiCam, Kryptek, Flecktarn or Finnish M/05. In some respects, it is more advanced than them, and better reproduces the colors found in Central European forests in the period from later spring to early autumn.
The t-shirt's material dries faster than cotton, leaving you feeling dry and comfortable. In addition, reinforced flat seams allow a full range of movement, while protecting the body from skin abrasions. The use of silver ions inside the fabric structure inhibits the development of bacterial flora and thus the formation of unpleasant odors, does not cause allergic irritation and prolongs freshness during use.

Good shirt, even though I usually don't wear synthetics, this one is comfortable, dries instantly, and the seams don't irritate the skin. An extra plus is the print on the neck. The cut and size are very suitable. P.S. If there were a cotton shirt and a lightweight knitted sweatshirt, I would gladly buy them ;)

Excellent shirt with perfect camouflage; after putting on the trousers and cap, you can easily hide in Polish forests. Very high quality, wicks moisture very well, sizes are well chosen. Highly recommended for the undecided.

The pattern on the t-shirt is great, but the quality of the material is not impressive. When worn, it seems too plasticky and not suitable as a first layer. I give 5+ for the pattern, but only 1 for the fabric. I can’t fault the stitching or craftsmanship. I also have MAPA trousers and those are fine.

Excellent t-shirt in Polish Mapa camouflage. The material is very good quality, in my opinion better than for example in Haasta shirts (though those are also fine). Here, the fabric seems more 'fleshy'. The camouflage looks great.

This is a good t-shirt made from pleasant material – it doesn’t scratch or cause discomfort. I recommend choosing your usual size, not necessarily following only the size chart, as the fabric is stretchy and quite broad in the shoulders. Made in Poland :)

Besides the cap, this is another product I chose because of the MAPA pattern. The material is extremely pleasant to the touch, which is also noticeable when wearing the t-shirt. I will probably buy another one in the future because it looks like it will last a long time. So far, it has performed well during the recent heatwaves. I’ll still test it during training, but I don’t think the quality will disappoint me!

Great workmanship, the pattern looks interesting. It’s comfortable to wear and looks solid, so it should last for a long time. This is another purchase from Helikon and probably not the last – so far, I haven’t been disappointed. I recommend it.
