A lightweight, short-sleeve thermoactive T-shirt featuring camouflage MAPA for regulating body temperature during a range of physical activities. It is crafted from a durable polyester knit fabric with excellent breathability. This T-shirt is ideal for tactical training, survival, ASG, and recreational outdoor pursuits. Even though it is aimed at the civilian market, professionals in uniformed services will also value it.
The camouflage pattern MAPA was designed by Maciej Dojlitko, who is both a graduate and current researcher at the Faculty of Architecture and Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk. Among his works is Theory of Deconstruction of Visual Communication. Tools for designing military camouflage (Gdansk 2015). The innovative pattern, backed by persuasive theoretical and experimental evidence, including computer analysis of thousands of terrain photographs, captured the interest of experts and military apparel producers. The MAPA camouflage debuted in 2017 at the International Defense Industry Exhibition in Kielce, serving as a pattern for the Dromader system of armor and uniforms by Maskpol, a member of the Polish Armament Group. Though initially developed for the Territorial Defense Army, the MAPA was also considered a potential pattern for the entire Polish Armed Forces as a replacement for the wz.93 camouflage. However, it has not yet been adopted as the official pattern for the Polish Army.
Highlights of the MAPA camouflage in the basic forest version:
- 6 colors that create layers reminiscent of topographical levels,
- colors tailored for operations in Central European forests,
- incorporation of three-dimensional illusion and anamorphosis effect,
- biomorphic shapes lending the design a vegetation-like appearance,
- highly contrasting elements mimicking light flashes and shadows,
- disruption of the camouflaged silhouette using a macro pattern,
- color noise generated through a micro pattern.
The MAPA pattern presents an intriguing alternative to leading contemporary camouflage patterns such as PenCott, MultiCam, Kryptek, Flecktarn, or Finnish M/05. In some aspects, it surpasses them, with a superior reproduction of colors present in Central European forests from late spring to early autumn.
The T-shirt material dries more swiftly than cotton, ensuring a dry and comfortable experience. Moreover, reinforced flat seams provide complete freedom of movement while preventing skin abrasions. The incorporation of silver ions within the fabric structure inhibits bacterial growth, prevents unpleasant odors, avoids allergic irritations, and extends freshness during wear.

Good shirt, even though I usually don't wear synthetics, this one is comfortable, dries instantly, and the seams don't irritate the skin. An additional plus is the print on the neck. The cut and size are very appropriate. Ps. If a cotton shirt or a lightweight knit sweatshirt becomes available, I would gladly buy them ;)

Excellent shirt with great camouflage, once you put on the pants and cap you can easily hide in Polish forests. Very high quality, wicks moisture very well, sizes are well matched. I recommend it for those who are unsure.

The pattern on the t-shirt is great, but the material quality is not impressive. When worn, it feels too plastic and is not suitable as a base layer. For the pattern, I give it a 5+, for the fabric only a 1. I can't complain about the seams or workmanship. I also have MAPA pants and those are totally fine.

Very nice shirt. The camouflage looks impressive, and the quality of workmanship is high. It fits the body well, efficiently wicks away sweat, and dries quickly. It also works well as a base layer. Excellent for hiding in summer forests.

Excellent t-shirt in Polish Mapa camouflage. The material is of very good quality, in my opinion better than, for example, in Haasta shirts (although those are also fine). Here, the fabric seems more “meaty.” The camouflage looks great.

This is a good t-shirt made of pleasant material – it doesn't scratch or cause discomfort. I recommend choosing your regular size; don't rely solely on the size chart, because the fabric is elastic and quite wide in the shoulders. Made in Poland :)

Aside from the cap, this is another product I chose because of the MAPA pattern. The material is incredibly pleasant to the touch, which you can also feel while wearing the t-shirt. I’ll probably buy another one in the future, as it seems set for long-lasting use. So far, it has been great during recent heat waves. I’ll still test it during training, but I believe the quality won’t disappoint me!

Great quality workmanship, the pattern looks interesting. It's comfortable during wear and looks sturdy, so it should last quite a long time. This is another purchase from Helikon and probably not the last – I haven't been disappointed yet. Highly recommend.
