The Wombat shirt is very good in terms of quality, but it seems to me that Maskpol designs them mainly with very tall people in mind. I am 187 cm tall and chose size XXL, and when I stretch out my arms the cuffs only reach halfway up my forearms.
Maskpol Combat Shirt CS-02 - MAPA
Tactical Combat Shirt in MAPA camouflage, perfect for tactical training, survival activities, ASG and recreational outdoor pursuits. Made from a lightweight and stretchy fabric that provides a snug fit, maintains optimum body temperature and effectively wicks away moisture.
Sleeves reinforced with Rip-Stop weave, stretch fabric on the body
The sleeves are made from a durable polyester/cotton blend fabric. Thanks to the Rip-Stop weave, the fabric will not fray or tear even if damaged in places. The body of the sweatshirt is made of a stretchy and breathable material (95% polyester, 5% lycra), which is soft to the touch and ensures effective thermoregulation.
Adjustable cuffs, high collar, pockets for elbow pads
Velcro-fastened cuffs allow easy adjustment of the circumference to fit the wrist. The high collar with short zip fastening effectively protects the neck from the wind. There are flat pockets on the sleeves designed to accommodate elbow protectors.
Shoulder pockets, Velcro panels
Both shoulders are equipped with pockets closed with button patches. Velcro panels on the pockets allow for personalisation of the jersey by attaching emblems such as the national flag, unit emblem or so-called Morale Patches.
MAPA camouflage
The camouflage pattern MAPA was designed by Maciej Dojlitko, a graduate and currently a researcher at the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, author of, among other publications, Theory of Deconstruction of Visual Communication. Tools for designing military camouflage (Gdańsk 2015). The innovative design, supported by convincing theoretical and experimental arguments, including computer analysis of thousands of terrain photographs, has attracted the attention of specialists and military clothing manufacturers. In 2017, the MAPA camouflage made its debut at the International Defence Industry Exhibition in Kielce as a camouflage pattern for the Dromader accouterment and uniform system of the Maskpol company, which is part of the Polish Armaments Group. The system was created with soldiers of the Territorial Defence Army in mind, but the MAPA camouflage itself was also considered as a perspective pattern for the entire Polish Armed Forces, where it could replace camouflage wz.93. Unfortunately, the MAPA camouflage has not been implemented as an official camouflage pattern of the Polish Army to date.
Main features of MAPA camouflage in the basic forest variant:
- 6 colours forming layers resembling levels on a map,
- colours optimised for operations in forests of Central Europe,
- use of the illusion of three-dimensionality and anamorphosis effect,
- biomorphic shapes making the design similar to vegetation,
- strongly contrasting elements imitating flashes of light and shadows,
- deformation of the masked silhouette by means of a macro pattern,
- colour noise reproduced by means of a micro pattern.
The MAPA pattern is an interesting alternative to the best contemporary camouflage patterns such as PenCott, MultiCam, Kryptek, Flecktarn or the Finnish M/05. In some respects, it is more advanced than these, and better reproduces the colours found in central European forests from later spring to early autumn.

The material and workmanship are of a high standard. MASKPOL is a manufacturer that offers very good quality products. The sweatshirt fits very well and is comfortable to wear. Personally, I think the collar could be a bit tighter, but it's not a big downside. In my opinion, it's worth considering purchasing this sweatshirt.
