The jacket is very comfortable, it actually feels like a sweatshirt. It may be too thick for warmer days, so a light windstopper would be useful. Maskpol should improve the sizing, especially the sleeve length, which is too short.
Modern tactical jacket made of Softshell fabric with inserts made of uniform material in MAP camouflage. The SM-01 jacket will perform well in survival, hiking, ASG and recreational outdoor activities. Although intended for the civilian market, it will also be appreciated by professionals from the uniformed services. Due to its multilayer construction jacket not only effectively protects against wind and rain, but also does not require the use of additional insulating clothing.
The softshell is made of triple-layer polyester laminate:
- outer knit weatherproof impregnated fabric,
- middle PTFE Teflon membrane,
- inner lining warming fabric made of fleece fabric.
The elbows, shoulders and welt tunnel have been reinforced with US-23 uniform fabric - this is a durable 50/50 combination of soft cotton and polyester. Thanks to the Rip-Stop weave, the fabric is durable and resistant to abrasion and tears.
The entire garment is fastened with a sturdy one-way zipper. The closure is finished with a high collar with chin protection. For improved thermal comfort, there are air vents under the armpits.
The cuffs are finished with elastic piping, and the bottom waistband features an elastic drawstring with a stopper to adjust the width to the wearer's figure and to protect against underhanging.
The jacket is equipped with 3 practical pockets: two spacious side pockets and a smaller chest pocket, closed with zippers. The interior of all pockets is finished with breathable mesh.
There are sewn 2 large velcro panels (Velcro) on the sleeves, which allow you to attach any emblems, such as distinction, state flag, unit emblem or so-called Morale Patches. On the right chest there is button for a name tag.
The camouflage pattern MAPA was designed by Maciej Dojlitko, a graduate and currently a researcher at the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, author of, among other publications Theory of Deconstruction of Visual Communication. Tools of military camouflage design (Gdansk 2015). The innovative design, supported by convincing theoretical and experimental arguments, including computer analysis of thousands of photographs of the terrain, drew the attention of specialists and military clothing manufacturers. In 2017, the MAPA camouflage made its debut at the International Defense Industry Exhibition in Kielce as a camouflage pattern for the Dromader system of armor and uniforms from Maskpol, which is part of the Polish Armament Group. The system was created for soldiers of the Territorial Defense Army, but the MAPA camouflage itself was also considered as a perspective pattern for the entire Polish Armed Forces, where it could replace the camouflage pattern wz.93. Unfortunately, the MAPA camouflage has not been implemented as an official camouflage pattern of the Polish Army to date.
Most important features of MAPA camouflage in basic forest variant:
- 6 colors that form layers resembling levels on a map,
- colors optimized for operations in the forests of Central Europe,
- the use of the illusion of three-dimensionality and anamorphosis effect,
- the use of the illusion of three-dimensionality and anamorphosis effect,
- biomorphic shapes making the design similar to vegetation,
- strongly contrasting elements imitating flashes of light and shadows,
- deformation of the masked silhouette by means of a macro pattern,
- color noise reproduced by means of a micro pattern.
The MAPA pattern is an interesting alternative to the best contemporary camouflage patterns such as PenCott, MultiCam, Kryptek, Flecktarn or Finnish M/05. In some respects, it is more advanced than them, and better reproduces the colors found in Central European forests in the period from later spring to early autumn.

The jacket is perfect for chilly autumn winds. Because it blocks the wind, it's warm inside. In winter, it's enough to add a fleece and it's still comfortable. It's great that you can get it in MAPA camouflage :)

The softshell jacket is very well made. I have been using it for some time now and I am very satisfied. The jacket provides a lot of warmth. The MAPA camouflage looks much better in person than in photos. I recommend this purchase.

Generally, the jacket, or rather the sweatshirt, is very well made. The material is good and the camouflage is attractive. The sweatshirt is quite thin, so on cooler days it's worth wearing a warm fleece underneath. I deducted one star for the small number of pockets – in my opinion, it would be useful to have some on the arms and at least one on the forearm. I think this would also improve its appearance.

Great jacket, works perfectly in autumn and winter. Effectively protects against the wind. The only downside is the difficulty in choosing the right size, as the sizes are a bit understated.
-
It's more of a sweatshirt than a jacket, but the workmanship is perfect. I ordered a size smaller than I usually wear and it fits perfectly. If the price was lower, I'd buy two – a smaller one as a sweatshirt, and a larger one as a jacket to wear over something thicker, but unfortunately I can't afford two such purchases.

It's great for winter when combined with a sweatshirt and a thermal shirt. It's just a shame that the jacket isn't fully covered in camouflage.
-
The camouflage looks good, the jacket is warm, but I would rather call it a fleece. I recommend size XS, it fits someone with a height of 158 cm.

It's hard to call it a jacket or softshell, it looks more like a fleece. Size S is a bit too wide, but the sleeves are fine. It's comfortable and good to run in, so I can recommend it.

Great jacket - warm, breathable, with ventilation holes under the armpits. It has a nice colour and camouflage pattern and the size is well matched. There are Velcro patches for badges on the shoulders. I definitely recommend it.

I have always had concerns when ordering Maskpol clothing that I wouldn't get the size right. Analysing the size charts, it may seem that the clothes are too tight... and here I want to reassure future customers. Example: I took the jacket in size M. The chart lists 100 cm under the armpits, but in reality it's about 112 cm, so there's a bit of extra room. For a chest circumference of 100 cm, the jacket is comfortable.
