Maskpol CP-02 Military Pants - MAPA

Durable and comfortable military pants with a cut similar to the 2010 pattern, sewn from Rip-Stop material in the unique MAPA camouflage. The CP-02 pants will work well in tactical training, survival, ASG and recreational outdoor activities. Although intended for the civilian market, it will also be appreciated by professionals in the uniformed services.

The MAPA camouflage pattern was designed by Maciej Dojlitko, a graduate and currently a researcher at the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, author of, among other publications, Theory of Deconstruction of Visual Communication. Tools for designing military camouflage ( Gdansk 2015). The innovative design, supported by convincing theoretical and experimental arguments, including computer analysis of thousands of photographs of the terrain, attracted the attention of specialists and military clothing manufacturers. In 2017, the MAPA camouflage made its debut at the International Defense Industry Exhibition in Kielce as a camouflage pattern for the Dromader system of accouterment and uniforms by Maskpol, which is part of the Polish Armaments Group. The system was created for soldiers of the Territorial Defense Army, but the MAPA camouflage itself was also considered as a perspective pattern for the entire Polish Armed Forces, where it could replace camouflage wz.93. Unfortunately, the MAPA camouflage has not been implemented as an official camouflage pattern of the Polish Army to date.

The main features of MAPA camouflage in the basic forest variant:
- 6 colors forming layers resembling levels on a map,
- colors optimized for operations in the forests of Central Europe,
- use of the illusion of three-dimensionality and anamorphosis effect,
- biomorphic shapes making the design similar to vegetation,
- strongly contrasting elements imitating flashes of light and shadows,
- deformation of the masked silhouette using macro pattern,
- color noise reproduced by means of a micro pattern.

The MAPA pattern is an interesting alternative to the best contemporary camouflage patterns such as PenCott, MultiCam, Kryptek, Flecktarn or Finnish M/05. In some respects it is more advanced than them, and better reproduces the colors found in Central European forests in the period from later spring to early autumn.

The material US-23, from which the pants were sewn, is a 50/50 combination of soft cotton and durable polyester. The material is light, breathable and pleasant to the touch. It is characterized by high resistance to abrasion and tears thanks to the Rip-Stop weave.

The pants are equipped with 6 practically arranged pockets:
- two recessed on the hips,
- two at the back closed with Velcro,
- two large capacious cargo pockets closed with Velcro.

The buttoned waistband is sewn with rubber inserts, and the opening is closed with a zipper. The belt loops allow the use of a belt with a maximum width of 50 mm. The lower leg hem is equipped with an additional drawstring.

The pants have reinforcement on the buttocks in the form of an additional layer of material. In addition, inside the legs at the level of the knees there are pockets giving the possibility of placing protective inserts in them, as well as rubber pullers. There is an additional carabiner holder on the front belt loop (not included in the set).

The pants do not include the belt shown in the photos.
