I bought these pants just because of the camouflage pattern. The material is quite nice, but the sizes are poorly determined – the pants are too short.

MAPA Camouflage
The creation of the MAPA camouflage pattern can be credited to Maciej Dojlitko, a graduate and current researcher at the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, who also authored several publications, including the Theory of Deconstruction of Visual Communication. Tools for designing military camouflage (Gdańsk 2015). Supported by solid theoretical and experimental bases, such as computer analysis of countless terrain photographs, this groundbreaking design caught the attention of specialists and military apparel producers. Debuting in 2017 at the International Defense Industry Exhibition in Kielce, the MAPA camouflage was presented as the pattern for the Dromader equipment and uniform system by Maskpol, a member of the Polish Armaments Group. This system was intended for the Territorial Defense Army soldiers; nevertheless, the MAPA camouflage was also considered as a potential standard for the entire Polish Armed Forces, with the possibility of replacing the wz.93 pattern. Despite its promise, the MAPA camouflage has yet to be officially adopted by the Polish Army.
The main features of MAPA camouflage in the basic forest variant
- 6 colors forming layers resembling levels on a map
- colors optimized for operations in the forests of Central Europe
- use of the illusion of three-dimensionality and anamorphosis effect
- biomorphic shapes making the design similar to vegetation
- strongly contrasting elements imitating flashes of light and shadows
- deformation of the masked silhouette using macro pattern
- color noise reproduced by means of a micro pattern
The MAPA pattern stands out as a compelling alternative to leading contemporary camouflage designs like PenCott, MultiCam, Kryptek, Flecktarn, or Finnish M/05. In some aspects, it surpasses these patterns, better reflecting the hues typical of Central European forests from late spring through early autumn.

I chose these pants solely for the camouflage, as that's the only thing that convinced me. The material is comfortable, but the sizing is terrible and the pants are too short.

The pants have the advantage of a pleasant material and the MAPA pattern, but that's where the positives end. The fabric deteriorates quickly, but the biggest problem is the poorly chosen sizing – I am 187 cm tall, chose the long version, and yet while kneeling, the pant legs end halfway up my calf. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend them.
