I bought these trousers only because of the camouflage pattern. The material is quite pleasant, but the sizing is incorrect – the trousers turn out too short.
Maskpol CP-02 Military Pants - MAPA
Durable tactical trousers inspired by the wz.2010 cut, made from Rip-Stop fabric in original MAPA camouflage. Model CP-02 is well-suited for tactical operations, survival, airsoft games, and all outdoor activities.
Durable material, Rip-Stop weave
US-23 blend combines natural cotton and abrasion-resistant polyester in equal 50/50 proportions. The fabric is lightweight, breathable, and comfortable to wear, and thanks to Rip-Stop technology, it is highly resistant to tearing and abrasion.
6 practical pockets
- two inset at the hips,
- two at the back with Velcro closures,
- two large spacious cargo pockets with Velcro closures
Wide loops, drawstring at the legs
The waistband with a button closure features elastic inserts, and the fly is secured with a zipper. Wide belt loops allow for belts up to 50 mm wide, while drawstrings at the leg cuffs enable adjustment of the circumference.
Reinforcements at critical points
The seat area is reinforced with an additional layer of fabric. Inside the legs, at knee height, there are pockets for protective pads and elastic drawstrings. Additionally, a loop for attaching a carabiner is located on the front belt loop.

MAPA Camouflage
The MAPA camouflage pattern was designed by Maciej Dojlitko, a graduate and currently a researcher at the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, the author of, among other publications, Theory of Deconstruction of Visual Communication. Tools for designing military camouflage (Gdańsk 2015). The innovative design, supported by convincing theoretical and experimental arguments, including computer analysis of thousands of photographs of the terrain, attracted the attention of specialists and military clothing manufacturers. In 2017, the MAPA camouflage made its debut at the International Defense Industry Exhibition in Kielce as a camouflage pattern for the Dromader system of accouterment and uniforms by Maskpol, which is part of the Polish Armaments Group. The system was created for soldiers of the Territorial Defense Army, but the MAPA camouflage itself was also considered as a perspective pattern for the entire Polish Armed Forces, where it could replace the wz.93 camouflage. Unfortunately, the MAPA camouflage has not been implemented to date as an official camouflage pattern of the Polish Army.
The main features of MAPA camouflage in the basic forest variant
- 6 colors forming layers resembling levels on a map
- colors optimized for operations in the forests of Central Europe
- use of the illusion of three-dimensionality and anamorphosis effect
- biomorphic shapes making the design similar to vegetation
- strongly contrasting elements imitating flashes of light and shadows
- deformation of the masked silhouette using macro pattern
- color noise reproduced by means of a micro pattern
The MAPA pattern is an interesting alternative to the best contemporary camouflage patterns such as PenCott, MultiCam, Kryptek, Flecktarn or Finnish M/05. In some respects it is more advanced than them, and also better reproduces the colors found in Central European forests in the period from later spring to early autumn.

I chose these trousers only because of the camouflage, as that was the only thing that convinced me. The material is comfortable, but the sizing is terrible and the trousers are too short.

The trousers have the advantage of a pleasant material and MAPA pattern, but that's where the positives end. The fabric wears out quickly, but the biggest problem is the poorly chosen sizing – I'm 187 cm tall, I chose the long version, and even so, when kneeling, the legs end halfway up my calf. Unfortunately, I can't recommend them.
