Although it is not among the cheaper options, it is still an original product with quality backed by the American leader in the portable tools segment. For more demanding users, a more expensive version with a ratchet is also available.

Leatherman MUT Multitool (833084)
A multitool with a professional purpose, dedicated primarily to the military, uniformed services and shooting enthusiasts. The new version has been optimised for harsh battlefield conditions and tactical operations. The product is guaranteed for 25 years!
High-quality stainless steel and bronze, anti-corrosion coating
All of the tools, with the exception of the bronze de-burring tool, are made of stainless steel and coated with black oxide, providing protection against corrosion and reducing glare. The multitool is designed to allow easy one-handed operation, leaving the other hand free in case several actions need to be performed simultaneously.
Compatible with gun cleaning rods
The unit is compatible with most of the standard M16/AR-15 family of weapon service cleaning rods. The tang tool, which holds the weapon structure, is unscrewed and a cut-out or brush can be fitted in its place for easy use. A threaded hole for attaching a notch or brush is located in the centre of the multitool's handle, providing a convenient handle for the cleaning rod.
Interchangeable bits, sight and front sight adjustment tool
The multitool also features a socket for interchangeable bits. There is a storage space in the handle for interchangeable bits, allowing quick access to all necessary bits. The set includes bits designed to handle the M16/AR-15 family of weapons, plus the tool features ST300 sight and front sight adjustment tools. A 3/8-inch spanner is also included in the set, which will come in handy for repairs and troubleshooting.
The multitool is designed for easy replacement of the most commonly worn parts. These parts are replaced using a #8 Torx spanner and the process is quick and hassle-free, even under battlefield conditions.

Review summary
Automatically prepared based on reviews
Reviews are mostly very positive. Users praise the high build quality, sturdy construction, and strong practicality of Leatherman accessories and multitools, especially the bit extender and the MUT. The biggest advantage is the clear boost in functionality: it is easier to work in hard-to-reach areas, standard bits can be used, and the accessories are easy to carry in a sheath. The MUT also receives strong feedback as a specialised multitool for firearm maintenance, particularly for AR15 platforms, although some users note its extra weight and more niche purpose. The most common complaint is the high price. Some reviews also mention tightly fitting bits, slight play in the connection, or difficulty removing standard bits. Less often, users report durability issues and disappointing warranty support for accessories.

Not exactly cheap, but still a very useful accessory - mainly because it lets you use cheap standard bits from discount shops or DIY stores.

During the first use, the bit got completely stuck in the extender socket and could not be removed. It turns out this is a common problem described by users, and what's more, Leatherman does not cover this accessory under warranty, which is very disappointing.
-
The price is somewhat higher, but we are dealing with an original product that is worth having together with the set of bits. Production takes place in Taiwan and Vietnam, which may be significant for people who pay attention to such things.
-
The multitool is very sturdy and practical. The tools work reliably, the whole thing is solid and comfortable to hold. It works perfectly when working with equipment, and the presence of a MOLLE sheath is a big advantage.
-
The price is quite high, but the product works very well. The version with a ratchet might be a better choice, though this one also gets the job done. It's definitely an essential purchase if you plan to assemble more than just a few screws.
-
A multitool of very good quality and thoughtful design, like all Leatherman products. It also stands out with its original and elegant colours. You can clearly feel the solid workmanship and the use of durable materials in your hands. An additional advantage is the 25-year warranty.

This is an absolutely essential accessory for the Leatherman multitool. It makes work much more efficient. Another advantage is that universal bits fit. I highly recommend it, although the price is quite high for such a small item.
-
The Leatherman MUT is one of my favourite multitools. I own both the black and the standard version. It's a great choice for people who often use AR15 rifles. On a daily basis, I use the Charge model, and I always have the MUT in my gear.
-
It is good to have this tool along with a multitool set. I haven't needed it yet, but it also fits Bosch bits, so I definitely recommend it. Great idea for a gift.
-
High-quality multitool from the Leatherman brand, sold with a black holster and an extension. This incredibly durable pliers is designed for the routine maintenance of AR15-type weapons. Its military design and 15 functions make the tool slightly heavier. Some accessories are replaceable, which ensures its great longevity. A must-have in the range!!!
-
Complements the multitool excellently. Very good build quality, you can feel the premium level. Unfortunately, the price is high because of that, but even so I am very satisfied with the purchase.
-
The equipment is, as always, perfectly made. It helps every day both at work and afterwards, and will also come in handy during mushroom picking, fishing or household chores. I recommend it to those who value the durability of materials and long-term use. The quality speaks for itself.

A great addition to the multitool. Tested with Leatherman Signal, works very well. Very strong magnet, so you need a tool to remove the bits. It’s small enough to fit with the multitool in the sheath.
-
Great addition to both my Surge and Skeletool. It also fits the Tread Tempo bracelet. In many situations, it has proved indispensable. I definitely recommend it, the quality-to-price ratio is satisfying.
