In my opinion, this is not only the best multitool in Leatherman, but overall. It has a wonderful three-system that works flawlessly, where you can really access everything with one hand, open and close the multitool to use the pliers, get out the knife holder or anything else. Truly a fantastic multitool. In my opinion, the best.
Leatherman ARC Talos Multitool
Multitool Leatherman ARC is the first tool on the market with a blade made from modern CPM MagnaCut powder steel. Thanks to this solution, the blade features excellent sharpness retention, high durability, and very good corrosion resistance. Sharpening this steel is much simpler than with other alloys of similar hardness. The blade is coated with a black PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) coating, providing additional corrosion protection and reducing glare.
The Talos version is distinguished by arms coated with a Cerakote finish in brown. The product is covered by a 25-year warranty.
Solid stainless steel framework, FREE technology
The construction and tools are made from 420 stainless steel, which has undergone specialised heat treatment, ensuring each component has optimal hardness. The multitool arms are coated with a brown Cerakote finish, characterised by high scratch resistance and providing corrosion protection and glare reduction.
The Arc model utilises FREE technology, which includes magnetic inserts in the arms, stabilising the tool in the folded position. The appropriately chosen magnet strength and precise element fit allow for easy one-handed opening of the multitool.
main blade made of CPM MagnaCut steel
In the Arc model, the knife blade made from wear-resistant CPM MagnaCut stainless steel catches attention, which is practically unseen in typical multitools. Using high-quality steel, combined with one-handed opening capability, makes the Leatherman Arc a real alternative to classic folding knives. This steel combines high abrasion and corrosion resistance with an optimal level of impact toughness. The blade is hardened to a hardness of 60-63 HRC and coated with a black PVD coating. It is opened using a thumb stud located on the blade.
Simple opening, Tools equipped with lock
Deploying tools in the ARC model is extremely simple – just gently push the edge with your thumb to slide them out from between the arms, then select and unfold the tool you wish to use.
All folding tools in the arms are secured with internal locking system locks, ensuring smooth operation and secure locking.

Leatherman has released a truly excellent multitool. I am impressed with the build quality and the opening mechanism of the device. This is my second favourite model, right after the Wave+ Polish Army edition. I didn’t choose the set with bits and sheath in the silver version, but I think the Talos colour fully makes up for it :) I highly recommend it!

The pliers are very good and functional. A big advantage is the convenient access to the tools and the pliers themselves, which definitely justifies the price, just like the excellent quality of materials and finish. I also have the Surge model, which is noticeably heavier and is used differently.

This is an extremely solid multitool, and the photos do not do justice to its build quality. The package was heavier than I expected, and the tool itself surprised me with its excellent build quality when taken out of the box. The price is high, but the high-quality steel and comfort of use partially compensate for it. I definitely recommend it – it’s clear it will last for years.

Unfortunately, the product does not meet my expectations and is not worth its price. I have an older Surge (12 years), a Skeletool (about 5 years), P2 and ARC (a few months) – only the P2 was bought outside Militaria.pl. In my opinion, the ARC should cost around 700 PLN. I consider the Surge to be the best multitool from this brand; I assess the rest in relation to it. Pros: Blade material (MagnaCut) – very durable, holds an edge for a long time and is easy to sharpen, good grind for a short blade. Most of the tools can be conveniently opened and closed with one hand. The multitool also has flat surfaces that can serve as a hammer. Cons: The smaller tools are difficult to open due to small levers. Unlocking the main tools with gloves on requires practice because the wings are too small. Unfortunately, the multitool also has minimal play. If the Surge was made from better materials, maintained its durability, reduced weight and had a flat striking surface, it would be much better than the ARC. Would I buy it again? Probably not. Mainly due to the excessive price in relation to the functionality offered.

The model is solidly made, small, and the new magnet system works very well. However, I have doubts about the price – it seems a bit too high for the materials and mechanism used. I am eagerly awaiting the All-Black version and an option to easily replace worn-out tools.

A very well thought-out and solidly made multitool. I have already used various Leatherman models before, and each of them impressed me in terms of build quality. In my opinion, the biggest advantages of this model are: high standard of workmanship, easy access to all tools even when the device is closed, practical functions, and intuitive operation thanks to the FREE technology. The pouch included in the set also fits the multitool perfectly. A small downside is the ergonomics – due to the external access to the tools, gripping the multitool during strong squeezing is not the most comfortable. It also lacks spring-loaded pliers, which could be a bit of an inconvenience, but you can manage without them. :) For some people, the high price may also be a disadvantage, as it is indeed significant. It's often mentioned in reviews that Leatherman and Victorinox are unrivalled in terms of quality – and this model definitely confirms that opinion. I think it was a good purchase and I don't regret the money spent.
