I bought this compass in the version with a plastic case. This compass is very light and practical. I also really like the colour.

A decent piece of equipment you can rely on during trips to the forest. The aluminium casing is a big plus – you can immediately feel that it’s a solid tool and not just a plastic toy, so it’ll easily withstand being knocked against rocks. The dial is clear, the needle sets instantly, and the grey colour is modern and less conspicuous than the typical olive green. For using with a map outdoors, you really don't need anything else.

The compass is worth its price. Although it is a bit heavier, this is due to the materials used. It is solid and precise. As others have mentioned, it takes a moment to set to north. It works slower than, for example, Silva compasses, but it is a different type of device. It is worth having as an addition to a map compass.

Gives a stable impression, and the first use showed reliable results with no major drawbacks noticeable. Recommended for the price.

A very useful compass. It is durable and well made. The luminous markings work great after dark. An additional advantage is the very well-written user manual, thanks to which I learned how to use the compass in the field. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

I haven't had the chance to test the compass in the field yet, but according to other reviews, there shouldn't be any problems finding the way. Great build quality, solid aluminium case – when you hold it in your hand, you can see it will survive many trips. The markings are very clear, and reading the dial is easy.
-
The magnetic needle works more slowly than in Silva compasses. The azimuth markings are very clear. I compared the accuracy with professional equipment and this compass performs satisfactorily.
-
The compass worked brilliantly in the mountains. The only downside is that sometimes it takes a little while to point in the right direction. Despite this, at this price, I would definitely recommend it.
-
A very high-quality compass. It accurately points north, and the operation is simple and intuitive. It glows in the dark, which makes orientation during a march easier. Helikon as usual is impeccable.
