I bought this compass in the version with a plastic case. This compass is very light and practical. I also really like the color.

A reliable piece of equipment you can depend on during forest trips. The aluminum housing is a big plus – you can immediately feel it's a solid tool and not a plastic toy, so it will easily withstand hitting a rock. The dial is clear, the needle sets instantly, and the gray color looks modern and is less conspicuous than the typical olive. For using a map outdoors, you don't need anything more.

The compass is worth its price. Although it is a bit heavier, this is due to the materials used. It is solid and precise. As others have mentioned, it needs a moment to set itself to north. It works more slowly than, for example, Silva compasses, but it is a different type of device. It's worth having as an addition to a map compass.

I haven't had a chance to test the compass in the field yet, but according to reviews, there shouldn't be any issues with finding your way. Excellent build quality, solid aluminum casing – when you hold it in your hand, you can tell it’ll survive many trips. The markings are very clear, and it's easy to read the indications.

The magnetic needle works more slowly than in Silva compasses. The azimuth markings are very clear. I compared its accuracy with professional equipment, and this compass performs satisfactorily.
-
The compass worked great in the mountains. The only downside is that sometimes it takes a bit of time to point in the right direction. Nevertheless, for the price, it's definitely worth recommending.

Very high-quality compass. It indicates north accurately, and it's easy and intuitive to use. It glows in the dark, which makes orientation during hiking much easier. Helikon as always without complaints.
