A decent piece of equipment you can rely on during trips to the forest. The aluminium casing is a big plus – you can immediately feel that it’s a solid tool and not just a plastic toy, so it’ll easily withstand being knocked against rocks. The dial is clear, the needle sets instantly, and the grey colour is modern and less conspicuous than the typical olive green. For using with a map outdoors, you really don't need anything else.

The compass is worth its price. Although it is a bit heavier, this is due to the materials used. It is solid and precise. As others have mentioned, it takes a moment to set to north. It works slower than, for example, Silva compasses, but it is a different type of device. It is worth having as an addition to a map compass.
