Esbit Food Jug 500 ml - Black

I have been using this flask for a long time, it keeps the temperature well, is tight and does not leak. Unfortunately Esbit has a problem with lids/stoppers, because water gets inside during washing and stays, which mixes with the polystyrene and can spread an unpleasant smell and impurities that could affect the food inside.

It's easy to clean, insulates well, is compact and allows you to pack a good portion of soup; you can also carry a main course in it. If needed, it can serve as a classic drinks flask.

I've been using the flask for over a year, regularly since April, five days a week. It retains heat very well. I’ve noticed that liquid meals stay warm longer than, for example, potatoes with meat. After about three months, the metal cover on the lid came off (it can be glued back on with heat), and a few days later the case of the valve button did as well. These faults don't affect the basic functions of the flask.

I love Esbit thermoses. This is my second one, the first was for drinks. If you preheat the thermos with boiling water as instructed, after a few hours the meal is still warm – a bit cooler than at the start, but just right to eat. I recommend it.
