The mummy model provides thermal comfort down to -8.8 deg. C for women (T-comfort) and -15 deg. C for men (T-limit). Both the outer and inner layer are made of polyamide shellproof, a material with high resistance to moisture and damage, made of nylon microfibres with a microporous protective layer.

A double layer of synthetic G-Loft Duro down, which is flexible, resilient and retains its insulating properties even when wet, is responsible for keeping you warm. An additional protection is provided by the Thermoflect layer, which reflects body heat and keeps it inside the sleeping bag. Each of the insulation layers has a grammage of 145 g/m2, which gives a total of 290 g/m2.

The outer layer Shellproof is light and at the same time resistant to water, wind and snow. The inside is made of Shelltrans, which effectively wicks moisture away to the outside, ensuring a comfortable sleep.

The two-way zip fastener is positioned in the centre, allowing it to be opened from both the top and the bottom. The inner thermal strip prevents heat loss, and the Antisnag system with wide straps protects the material from accidental zipper indentation.

The Defence 4 sleeping bag can be integrated with the inner model Tropen, significantly increasing the thermal efficiency of the set. This combination effectively wicks away excess moisture, ensuring thermal comfort even at temperatures as low as -20°C. Thanks to the use of modern technologies and materials, the entire set features low weight and compact dimensions when packed, making transport and storage easier.

Temperature limits and ranges are determined according to the following indicators:

• T-max - the highest temperature at which the average man can sleep through the night without excessive sweating or overheating.
• T-comfort - the minimum temperature at which the average woman can sleep comfortably through the night.
• T-limit – the minimum temperature at which the average man can sleep through the night without the risk of hypothermia.
