The buckle is solidly made of durable plastic and is thick enough that it shouldn't break, even when used at the bottom of a backpack and rubbing against the floor. Previously, I used self-printed buckles, but PLA does not match this material in terms of resistance to weather conditions and mechanical strength. In my opinion, it is difficult to thread two straps through the buckle at the same time, which raises doubts for me about using it as a loop.
