The buckle is solidly made of durable plastic and is thick enough that it shouldn't break even when used on the bottom of a backpack and rubbing against the ground. Previously, I used self-printed buckles, but PLA does not match this material in terms of weather resistance and mechanical durability. In my opinion, it's hard to thread two straps through the buckle at the same time, which raises my doubts about its use as a loop.
