I bought two Celox Foxseal Vented chest seals for my shooting range (IFAK) kit. The packaging is sturdy, and its square shape and flexibility make it easy to fit in the first aid kit.
Celox Foxseal Vented Bandage
Vented chest seal designed to close and secure wounds in the chest area. It features the Hyper-Vent 360° system and 24 ventilation holes. The one-way valve allows air to escape from the pleural cavity, reducing the risk of pneumothorax while preventing external air from entering.
hydrogel with polyurethane film, 24 ventilation holes
The Celox Foxseal Vented is based on a hydrogel layer, covered with a polyurethane (PU) film that protects the centrally placed soft valve. Thanks to its radial design consisting of 3 rings with 8 holes each—a total of 24 holes and 512 ventilation pathways—it ensures effective air release even when creased or applied to uneven, curved surfaces, including under clothing or a tactical vest.
safe use
Sterile dressing intended for use by trained medical personnel. Latex-free to reduce the risk of allergic reactions.

This is an essential element of every tactical first aid kit. A big advantage is the ability to fold the dressing, which makes it fit perfectly even in smaller belt pouches. It has a long expiry date and the manufacturer is a reliable brand.

An advantage is that the dressing is small, flat, and convenient – it should be in the first aid kit of anyone involved in shooting, fencing, or other activities involving a risk of chest injury. For a BOB, it's a must-have and would be a shame not to have it – a very light, compact, and reliable thing that can be invaluable in difficult situations!

Great dressing at a good price. The long expiry date (until 2028) is a big advantage. Thanks to its flexibility, it fits easily in the first aid kit. I hope I will only use it for training. Highly recommended.
