After many years of using the Spyderco sharpener, I finally got myself the diamond rods. Now sharpening is even faster, easier and more precise. I definitely recommend them – the whole system will serve you for many years. I've been using it for 15 years and there's no significant wear. Although they are quite expensive, over time they turn out to be worth the purchase.

A set of two rods that are replacements for the sharpening stones in the Spyderco Triangle whetstone. The rods are diamond-coated and designed for restoring the blade or for changing its profile.
Diamond rods sharpen faster and more accurately than standard stone rods, hence less time is spent sharpening, and the blade itself is neater and more accurately sharpened. After sharpening, simply wash the rods under running water.
The rods are packaged in protective plastic tubes.

A great addition to the Triangle sharpener. The diamond rods make it easy to sharpen even very hard steels. The diamond abrasive surface is solid and should last a long time. I recommend this product.

A great addition to the set. I especially recommend it to users of knives made from high quality steel (e.g. s30v, D2 and similar).

If you have a Spyderco Sharpmaker and knives made from advanced steels (from D2 upwards), these rods are absolutely essential. Without them, sharpening very blunt S30V steel is extremely time-consuming and tedious. I highly recommend them – it’s the difference between 20 minutes and two hours on the standard medium brown rods.

The rods are expensive, but really good. They handle sharpening knives made from harder types of steel very well. You just need to be careful, as they are quite brittle.

The price is high... but it really is worth it :) You could almost shave with ten-year-old kitchen knives.

The diamonds are top quality. They work perfectly for renewing worn edges and shaping edges. It's worth having them – they last for many years.

Simple and elegant diamond rods for the Triangle system. Anyone who has used them knows that sharpening knives without them is very difficult. If you haven't got them yet, buy them and see for yourself that it's true. The package arrived well protected the next day after ordering. I recommend them.
