I can confirm, when it comes to efficiency and quality, this is a top-shelf product. If I were to buy again, I would choose the 210mm model from this brand because it is more versatile, but the 170mm pocket version also does a great job, especially if you’re not planning to cut thick logs.
Handy folding saw from Japanese brand Silky made of high-carbon SK-4 steel. The surface of the saw is chrome plated, which protects it from rusting and harmful effects on the blade.
The 130 mm long blade allows for efficient and comfortable work. SK-4 steel is characterized by high resistance to cracking and chipping. Safe work and transportation is helped by a durable blade locking mechanism. The mechanism allows you to lock the blade in one of two positions.
The handle is ergonomically contoured and made of durable and rubberized plastic. This provides good anti-slip properties and nullifies vibrations during work. At the end of the handle is a hole that allows you to attach a cord.
It comes with a clear plastic case.

Silky is a Japanese manufacturer of hand saws with a long tradition, dating back to 1919, when Katsuji Miyawaki founded the company in the city of Ono. For over a century, the brand has gained a reputation for reliability and precision, and its tools are distinguished by their exceptional quality. The saws are made of the highest quality steel and undergo impulse hardening technology, which, combined with a design intended for ‘pull’ cutting, ensures smooth operation and precise, clean cuts. In 1980, Silky patented its own saw setting process, which significantly increases the sharpness of the tools – this solution has been used in the 4-Retsume and Miraime2 models, among others. The Japanese manufacturer's solutions are used by professionals around the world: arborists, foresters, carpenters and bushcraft enthusiasts. It is worth mentioning that in 1985, the ‘Gomboy’ model was the first on the market to feature a rubber-coated handle, which contributed to it winning the prestigious Japanese Good Design Award. Thanks to the combination of traditional Japanese craftsmanship and modern technological solutions, Silky has been one of the leading manufacturers of hand saws for years.

The Silky Pocketboy is an excellent saw. I have no complaints about the quality of workmanship, and the size turned out to be perfect for me. The saw doesn't weigh much, making it great for forest trips and I always take it with me. Highly recommended!

Silky is associated with quality. I bought the saw on a promotion and it was definitely worth it. As soon as you pick it up, you feel the solid build. Despite its small size, it’s great for preparing a campfire or building a makeshift shelter. It easily fits in a backpack or a larger waist bag, and the plastic case makes transport and storage easier. I also have a Bahco Laplander, but in my opinion, this saw is much better. Highly recommended.

Excellent build quality from Japan and a very handy size. The saw blade is extremely sharp and handles cutting various types of wood with ease. An ideal tool for bushcraft and survival enthusiasts. The handle is covered with rubber, which is very comfortable, and the blade length is perfectly suitable for pruning medium branches and smaller pieces of wood. The saw comes packed in a plastic case, which can later be used as a cover to protect the tool from moisture and dirt.

Small, sharp and convenient – you barely feel it in your backpack, perfect for any trip. The quality and class of workmanship are evident as soon as you pick it up. It fully fulfils its function.

A small and handy saw, a great alternative to a multitool or pocket knife. It works perfectly for gathering firewood. If someone can afford a larger saw, they'll achieve better efficiency. Here we have an ideal product for people who want to save space in their backpack.

The saw easily cuts not only thin branches, but also handles wood with a diameter of around 15 cm. Thanks to its folding design and plastic cover, you can easily put it in your trouser or jacket pocket. The blade is rather short, so cutting thicker pieces takes more effort. It’s perfectly suited for quick, emergency sawing of wood for fuel.

Great saw for short trips to the forest. Fits perfectly in your pocket. Works very smoothly. Excels at cutting wood. I definitely recommend it.
-
Great saw, the only drawback is the very tightly fitted blade, which makes folding and unfolding it a bit difficult (I also have the Outback model and there are no such problems there). It cuts brilliantly and is an excellent addition to your EDC when a pocket knife isn’t enough.

The saw is very sharp and comfortable to use. Highly recommended.

What more can I say, silky is silky – it cuts brilliantly. Top quality workmanship.

Amazing saw, cuts through wood effortlessly. It is very comfortable and lightweight.

This is my favourite saw for trips to the forest; preparing a camp or a fire with its help is pure pleasure.

Great saw, cuts perfectly, highly recommended.

Silky is a guarantee of high quality. This saw is the smallest in this series, but I had no problem cutting branches up to 8 cm in diameter. We rarely use it for cutting down trees.
