Hi. These boots accompany me very often in various conditions and I am extremely satisfied with them. I am facing my third winter, and they have already travelled about 800 km with me. I regularly waterproof and quickly repair the footwear since purchasing. After two summer and winter seasons, I replaced the laces and insoles. I recommend SALEWA boots, especially this particular model. D.K.

Robust trekking boots made of a durable suede upper, enhanced with a waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX membrane.
GORE-TEX technology effectively protects against external moisture, while allowing sweat to escape, which translates into greater thermal comfort during activity.
This model was developed for mountain trekking in demanding and technical terrain and offers better flexibility and comfort on both ascents and descents.
The Salewa MTN Trainer Mid GTX features a dual-density Bilight TPU midsole. The ergonomic profile ensures comfort even during long walks on uneven, rocky ground. The construction is based on water-resistant materials, and the 3F system with a soft Flex Collar increases foot stabilisation and protects the ankle from overload.
The Vibram sole with aggressive tread pattern provides traction and shock absorption, allowing you to move confidently on a variety of terrains.
Additional reinforcements on the toe and heel and a durable rubber cap protect the most vulnerable parts of the shoe from damage. Durable laces with sturdy grommets allow for quick and precise adjustment.

After twelve hours of night walking through the forest in the Świętokrzyskie Mountains (red trail) in mud, on slippery rocks and protruding roots, in the rain, the boots performed excellently. I arrived with no injuries, no chafing, and—importantly—with dry feet. It was a demanding test, so I really recommend these boots. I chose the size thanks to a foot scan and the recommended measurements. For winter, I plan to buy a size up.

Great and very comfortable boots—they are lightweight and slim. The clamp eyelet halfway up the boot is an interesting solution, allowing the bottom part to be tied tighter and the top looser, or vice versa.

The size matches what is given on the website (it's worth considering buying half a size or a size up, as recommended for mountain footwear). Around the heel there is a reinforcement of metal wire. Once laced up, the boots stabilise the ankle well and the foot does not move inside. They're warm and comfortable—recommended.

The boots are excellent. I bought them two days before a trip to the mountains, and they turned out to fit perfectly. After three days of hiking in deep mud and snow, they performed superbly. After trekking 45 km in mountain terrain, my feet were in perfect condition—I’m very impressed. The purchase process was also flawless—I ordered them at 22:45, and the courier delivered the package to my home the next day at 13:30. I’ve never received an online order so quickly. My rating: 12/10.

They are hard to lace up, but they are great. They perform well in mud, on slippery stones and even on frozen, compacted snow. They have a narrow fit and stabilise the foot very well, while not restricting ankle movement too much. Walking in them gives a lot of confidence and satisfaction. I am happy with this purchase.

The shoes are excellent – very light and comfortable, reminiscent of trainers, and perfectly made. They are worth every penny. In a word: SENSATIONAL!

The boots are as comfortable as sports shoes, and the workmanship is at a very high level. The price is considerable, but they are definitely worth buying.

They have a distinctive look, they're comfortable and have a hard sole. Overall, they perform excellently.

Fantastic. I definitely recommend them.

Very nice boots—they'll work well not just in the mountains. The workmanship is faultless.

For mountain trips, they work very well. The boots are comfortable and well-fitted. I definitely recommend them.

I disagree with the previous reviewer. Although the sole is better than in older versions, it is easy to twist your ankle. If you don’t lace the boots up properly when in a hurry, you could get quite injured. The lace hooks tend to catch onto each other. The membrane, even though it’s Gore-Tex, isn’t of the highest quality. The boots get soaked through quite quickly. If you don’t lace them tightly from the start, they often come undone and need constant adjustment. I wouldn’t buy them again.

The shoes are comfortable, they do their job and can definitely be recommended.
