These socks are not as thick as I thought they would be however they are comfortable up to a distance. Have completed a couple of hiking trails with these socks they kept feet warm and was comfortable up to around 10 mile. But, for the price of these socks I can't complain. Very well priced

The socks are comfortable and quite warm, although I wouldn't call them typically winter socks. They are fairly long, reaching high up, but they are rather thin, so they are more suitable for the cool beginnings of autumn rather than for winter.

Excellent socks – the name may mislead you, because even though it says 'heavy', they aren’t very thick. Merino wool works great on longer hikes. In my opinion, they’re even suitable for sleeping outside, although that’s a personal matter.
