Overall, the shoes are very good, but I have two main complaints: 1. there is too little material around the heel, which means it wears out quickly and eventually only the fabric is left, 2. the Hydroguard membrane is very thin, which makes it easy to damage and then it starts to let water through.
Pentagon Achilles Tactical XTR 8" Boots - Desert Tan
Desert tan tactical boots made of a combination of durable suede and breathable, hard-wearing nylon fabric. This fabric combination makes the boots highly resistant to damage and allows for optimal air circulation.
Hydroguard membrane, tongue integrated into the upper
The higher upper construction with a soft collar effectively protects the foot and ankle from injury. Water resistance is ensured by the Hydroguard membrane, which protects the feet from getting wet. The tongue, which is integrated into the upper and reaches up to 2/3 of its height, effectively blocks water, mud, stones and other small objects from entering the shoe.
Soft insole, profiled sole
The soft foam insole ensures comfort, while the profiled sole with universal tread guarantees excellent grip on various surfaces. Effective protection of the toes and heel is ensured by reinforcements made of an additional layer of material and a cast layer of rubber sole.
Main features
- waterproof Hydroguard membrane
- upper made of durable nubuck and nylon
- tongue partially integrated into the upper
- overmoulded sole for additional protection
- cushioned soft foam insole

Good and comfortable shoes, they look nice in desert colour, they are waterproof and fit the foot well, but the laces were very long and I had to shorten them.
-
Shoes bought with mountain hiking in mind. After waterproofing, they don’t soak through. They performed well on easy terrain at 25 degrees. The sole copes well with stones, the shoes are warm but not too hot. We'll see how long they last. So far I'm satisfied and recommend them.

The boots are made from high-quality materials, comfortable and pleasant to wear. The tactical boots are a durable, breathable leather-textile combination of good class. This ensures durability and good ventilation. They are outstanding both in the city and in the field. With proper care, they will last for a long time. A product worth recommending in every aspect.

Extremely comfortable, lightweight footwear that supports the ankle well. I bought them for airsoft, but they're also good in the city and look great. It's worth buying a care impregnator straight away.

The shoes are comfortable and well made. This isn't my first pair from this brand. My feet feel comfortable, and moisture doesn't collect inside. Even after long use, my feet stay dry. I recommend them.

Excellent shoes at a reasonable price. I recommend waterproofing them quickly, then they'll surely last a long time. They're warm and comfortable and so far they've never leaked.

My opinion after over a month of intensive service – 90% in the city, 10% in the field. For now, I am very satisfied – the boots look great, are comfortable and waterproof, even when I submerge them deeply. Zero damage. The lacing system with eyelets at the top is a bit unusual, but I have already got used to it and it doesn't bother me. I usually wear a size 42, but here after measuring I chose 41 and it was perfect. I recommend measuring your foot carefully before purchase.

Very comfortable and warm shoes, they look great with cargo trousers. The only downside is the lace hooks—they take some getting used to. This is my first purchase from this brand and I hope they won't let me down.

Very comfortable, lightweight, durable shoes suitable for all-year use. I bought them for airsoft and they are perfect for that. I recommend them to anyone hesitating to buy.

A friend was happy with the boots he got as a gift. I ordered the same model, but unfortunately, they don't work for me in tougher working conditions – the sole is coming off and has worn through. However, for everyday, lighter use they are comfortable. I recommend them for lighter tasks.

The shoes are very comfortable and durable, and they also offer good grip.

The shoes look better in photos than in real life—today I received my pair and unfortunately there are quite a few loose threads and a lot of visible glue at the joins. I ordered EU45 but the tongue shows 287mm instead of 293mm, so they're a bit tight. I'd like to return them, but I need them abroad in two days, so maybe they'll stretch. The suede is quite worn in some places. The toe box seems strong and solid, and the laces support the ankle well, which I really appreciate. The grip also seems pretty good. I hope they're really waterproof.

They perform excellently in the mountains, for airsoft, fieldwork, and motorbike riding. Already factory-impregnated, which was lucky—I forgot to do it! Dirt does not stick and after a clean, I tested their waterproofness. I wasn't disappointed – rain means nothing to them. I recommend choosing the higher models—they protect the ankle better and are more comfortable. The lower ones are stiffer and become uncomfortable after a few hours.

After six months of use, the boots have come apart... Good for walks, but the term 'tactical' is just a name. Comfortable, which is their only advantage.
