A professional set of hearing protectors that feature active noise reduction. The model is equipped with two high-frequency microphones that enhance the audibility of ambient sounds. The Peltor ComTac VIII hearing protectors provide protection against noise levels of up to 29 dB.

The protectors feature the ability to adjust the volume of ambient sounds and conversations as required. The use of an advanced electronic system protects against both impulse and continuous noise. The listening mode with Mission Audio Profiles (MAP) maximises hearing quality based on the acoustic environment. Spatial sound analysis automatically shapes sounds and helps improve speech intelligibility in noise.

The wide ear pads provide excellent noise isolation. The lower section is contoured so that the protectors do not interfere with shooting. The low-profile headband distributes pressure evenly across the head, allowing you to wear them for long periods without feeling any uncomfortable pressure. The adjustable design makes it easy to adapt the protectors to the shape of the shooter’s head. The model is compatible with most military helmets.

Peltor ComTac VIII is powered by two AAA batteries, which provide approx. 50 hours of operation. Replacing them simply requires removing the panel on the side of one of the ear cups. The device is equipped with a low-battery warning system and an automatic shut-off function after 4 hours of inactivity.

The protectors comply with MIL-STD-810H and MIL-STD-461G standards.

    The headphones are really great. They have excellent noise cancellation, and the microphones effectively pick up ambient sounds. They are comfortable to wear and sturdy. Their only downside is rather short battery life.
