I bought this carabiner just as a little thing—to attach keys to my rucksack. Honestly, I didn’t even know it was from some well-known brand. I thought it was just an ordinary metal carabiner for a couple of pennies. When I took it in my hands, I was surprised. Small, but very well made: nothing rattles, the spring is tight, it opens precisely. The lock-slider at first seemed unnecessary, but in practice it’s actually really useful—nothing accidentally unclips. I carry keys, a torch, and small items on it—it holds up without any problems. Despite its size, the steel seems sturdy, and the carabiner itself weighs almost nothing. I use it daily: rucksack, belt, sometimes in the car—it’s suitable everywhere. It’s convenient that you can quickly detach it, yet there’s protection against accidental opening. Only later did I find out that Nite Ize is a fairly well-known American maker of EDC accessories. Now I understand why this “little thing” feels better made than most no-names. ⚠️ The only thing—it’s not a climbing carabiner and not for heavy loads. For everyday and EDC use—it’s ideal. Pros: ✔ very compact and lightweight ✔ reliable locking mechanism ✔ quality steel ✔ convenient for keys and gear Cons: — small size (may not suit thick straps) — not for serious loads 👉 Conclusion: bought it by chance—kept it for good. Now I understand why such carabiners are recommended for EDC kits.

This is one of my favourites – I especially like it in black. It has never disappointed me and is perfect as a keyring extension. The lock is a big plus – over time it might become a little looser, but it's still good that it's there.

I have a similar carabiner from this company in the same size, but in the shape of an S (two separate loops). I ordered this model as well because it has a larger closure, and I expected it to be easier to attach and detach the bunch of keys from the D-ring on the belt. Indeed, the closure is larger and easier to operate with a finger... as long as the carabiner doesn't turn upside down, which unfortunately often happens and lengthens the moment of detaching the keys. For this use, I've therefore gone back to the S-shaped model :) The lock to prevent accidental opening is a great advantage. The carabiner is not painted, so nothing will peel off. I recommend it.

The carabiner is solidly made, as expected from Nite Ize. The safety feature effectively prevents accidental opening, so even valuable things won't get lost in the field, even if you snag on something sticking out. Attached both to trousers and the MOLLE system on a vest, it works very well.
