Mil-Tec US Navy Peacoat - Black

The jacket is very nice, better than in pictures. Feels nice & warm and heavy in a good way. The sizes runs a bit big; I ordered a size XL, cause I’m usually that or 54 european or 42-44 imperial or 62 cm pit to pit. I could/ should have ordered L, but I have to take the jacket to my tailor anyway, cause the sleeves are always too long for me ( 95% certainty) and I shall take in a bit from seam at the same go.

The package arrived to me within a day, the pea coat fits perfectly. 30 years ago I served in the Navy, and now at 54 years old, 175 cm tall and weighing 109 kg, after putting on the pea coat I felt young again. I chose size XXL.

A very pleasant pea coat, just the one I was waiting for. With a height of 187 cm and weight of 89 kg, size L is perfect. The coat has a simple cut, so you can wear something warmer underneath, like a thick sweater. It looks great both with a shirt and a turtleneck, so it will also work for more elegant outfits; the gold buttons definitely draw attention! The material composition is an advantage too – at this price it's usually just polyester, but here we have wool with a touch of viscose. The whole thing looks much more expensive than it actually is. I definitely recommend it!

Thanks to the thickness of the material, half-wool composition, and the appropriate weight, the coat is especially warm. In my opinion, it is a very good choice at this price.

Good morning. I bought a pea coat and am satisfied with both the cut and the material. However, I have a few remarks as a sailor. The first is a very uncomfortable pocket on the right side – to reach it, I have to undo the coat, and since the buttons are poorly sewn with weak thread, after just two days I had to sew them all back on so they wouldn’t fall off. This is my second remark – maybe I happened to get a model intended for left-handed sailors. To sum up: the material, workmanship and price are fine, but I advise future buyers to pay attention to the buttons, as there is only one spare and each additional one costs 5 PLN. I wholeheartedly recommend this product. At 170 cm tall, with measurements of 100/100 and a weight of 74 kg, I chose size XS, intending to wear it over a shirt – it fits perfectly and there’s plenty of room in the pockets. The coat is really thick and heavy, and 50% wool makes it warm. The quality of stitching at this price is at a high level. It goes perfectly in a formal set with a white shirt, black tie, and suit trousers, but also looks great with a woollen turtleneck, jeans, and boots.

I wear it all winter over a fleece and I’m very satisfied – the coat works great and does not get damaged. If needed, I put on a hat or a fleece hood, which is completely sufficient. The buttons are securely sewn on, though a bit looser, which actually makes fastening easier. I recommend it as citywear, but I do not recommend it for outdoor expeditions.
