I chose the Mil-Tec Two Zip shoes based on three things: low weight, breathability, and the presence of a zip for easy putting on and taking off. Above all, they were meant to be practical for use outdoors, provided I avoided very difficult conditions such as long marches or use in the cold or after getting soaked. A pair in size 44 weighs 1260g and the zips (YKK) work smoothly, which I rate very positively. Unfortunately, the combination of suede leather with polyester is not very breathable. The original insoles are thin, fit poorly and move around easily. I bought them on 2 May 2023 for 329 PLN. At work I wore them for 60 days, and I also did a 49-kilometre, three-day hike in the Bydgoszcz Forest on gravel and forest trails. After 190 days of use, the heel started to come away from the sole, and my warranty claim was rejected. It's also worth mentioning that the insoles started to delaminate and the lining is close to wearing through.

eva foam insole, ankle protection collar
Comfort is enhanced by a flexible and well-insulated EVA foam insole, which ensures comfort even during prolonged wear. The high upper with a soft ankle collar provides additional protection and stability.
Durable outsole, deep tread, toe and heel protection
The sole is designed from a combination of rubber and EVA foam, which guarantees optimal flexibility and shock absorption on uneven terrain. The distinctive profiled tread offers very good grip on various surfaces, and the overmoulded rubber sole protects the toes and heels from damage.

I would like to emphasise that my opinion concerns a first impression, just after opening the box. These are shoes from the lower price range, so that's only to be expected. It will be necessary to protect them against water, as they are not adequately waterproofed. I also feel that the manufacturer didn't pay enough attention to the insoles, because despite choosing the right size, my foot slides inside. After replacing the insoles, comfort and stability improved greatly. A big plus for the sole – it's not too soft, but also not overly hard, which suits me perfectly. Another advantage is the side zips, which have turned out to be very useful for me at the moment – on a daily basis I choose shoes by Lowy and Aku, so from the higher price range. I bought these mainly with the idea of using them for about three months and my gut feeling is that they'll work out very well – the quality to price ratio is really good. It's also worth mentioning that they're exceptionally light, which will probably make them an excellent choice in the summer.
