Mil-Tec Commando Sleeping Bag - Flecktarn

Durable sleeping bag in Flecktarn camouflage, designed in a mummy shape for an ergonomic fit and freedom of movement during rest. The construction is made from high-quality polyester, with an outer layer that protects against damage and Micro Fibre insulation.

The temperature range for the Commando sleeping bag is specified according to ISO 23537-1:2022:

• T-comfort: 6 deg. C – the lowest temperature at which a woman can comfortably sleep through the night
• T-limit: 1 deg. C – the minimum sleeping temperature for a man without discomfort
• T-extreme: -14 deg. C – the minimum survival temperature, not recommended for normal use

The outer layer of the sleeping bag is made from specially waterproofed polyester, which is resistant to moisture and easy to keep clean. The interior is lined with soft cotton, gentle on the skin.

The filling is a synthetic Micro Fibre layer with a grammage of 150 g/m2, which ensures low weight and good thermal insulation. The quilted structure prevents fibre migration, helping the sleeping bag retain heat evenly throughout.

The model has a two-way zip positioned on the left side, secured with a Velcro flap. Inside, a protective strip provides extra protection against the material catching in the zip and helps prevent heat loss.

The anatomically shaped hood effectively limits heat loss from the head. A drawstring offers even better heat retention and comfort in colder conditions.

The design makes it easy to carry and store. When packed, the sleeping bag measures 39 x 18 x 18 cm and weighs just 950 g, making it straightforward to pack without weighing down your gear.

Flecktarn is a classic German military camouflage pattern, officially adopted by the Bundeswehr in 1990. The design uses numerous irregular spots in five colours—usually dark green, olive, brown, black, and beige. The layout and blurred edges between shades allow Flecktarn to effectively break up the user's silhouette in forests, dense brush, and against forest floor backgrounds. The camouflage was developed for European climate conditions, particularly the temperate zone. Flecktarn is now the standard pattern in the German army and police units, and its effectiveness has led to many adaptations and variants in other countries.
