The mess tin is very durable and well made. It easily fits a two-course meal, which is a big advantage. You can safely put it on the fire to heat food or water. I appreciate its traditional look and versatility. Highly recommended.
Aluminum menagerie from Mil-Tec made after the models used in the German military. Being made of aluminum, it is very lightweight, does not rust and conducts heat perfectly, so you can easily heat up your meal.
The menagerie consists of three elements, a main pot, a frying pan and a cup. The main pot is equipped with a bail for easy transportation of the entire set or hanging over a fire to heat. The frying pan is equipped with a convenient folding handle for a secure grip. The oval mug has a cutout that allows it to be mounted to the handle of the pan, making it easy to eat hot meals.
The set covered with protective paint in olive green.

I used the mess tin twice directly over the fire as a pot, and after cleaning off the soot, it lost its colour, becoming grey-black. Opening and closing is troublesome because the mechanisms stick. The mess tin is uneven, and the handle often comes off; the 'frying pan' handle has become loose and does not hold. It's good for transporting food, but due to the risk of the handle breaking, it's not suitable for other purposes. The biggest advantage remains the size and appearance, but apart from that, I am dissatisfied.

I used a similar mess tin in the army during field exercises. Nowadays, using aluminium in kitchenware is rare. Stainless steel is healthier and easier to clean.

The mess tin is very solid and sturdy. It easily fits a full, two-course meal, which is a big advantage. You can freely use it over a fire to heat food or water. It has a classic shape and is very versatile. I honestly recommend it.

A good mess tin, made of durable material, does its job. The lock at the bottom is a bit loose, but you can quickly fix it with pliers.

I recommend it, a very good choice.

I recommend it, it works great for cooking outdoors.

Product as described.

Nothing to complain about. An inexpensive and functional utensil. It's important that it's flat – as long as your rucksack is flat, most round pots won't fit.

The mess tin is carefully made. It is taller than our WP and has an extra element inside. I am curious how the outer paint will behave after heating over a fire. However, the material seems a bit more delicate than the Polish equivalent; you can already see paint chips on the new tin.
