The mess tin is very durable and well-made. It easily holds a two-course meal, which is a big advantage. You can safely put it on a fire to heat up food or water. I appreciate its traditional look and versatility. Highly recommended.
Aluminum field kit by Mil-Tec, inspired by designs from the German military. Constructed from aluminum, it is extremely light, rust-resistant, and an excellent heat conductor, allowing for easy meal warming.
The field kit comprises three components: a main pot, a frying pan, and a cup. The main pot features a bail for convenient transport or suspension over a fire for heating. The frying pan includes a handy folding handle for a secure hold. The oval mug has a notch that enables attachment to the pan's handle, facilitating the consumption of hot food.
The set is coated with protective paint in olive green.

I used the mess tin twice directly over a fire as a pot, and after cleaning off the soot it lost its color, turning gray-black. Opening and closing is difficult because the mechanisms jam. The mess tin is uneven, and the handle often comes off, the 'pan' handle became loose and won't stay in place. It's good for transporting food, but due to the risk of handle breaking, it's not suitable for other purposes. The biggest advantage remains its size and appearance, but otherwise I am dissatisfied.

I used a similar mess tin in the army during field exercises. Nowadays, the use of aluminum in kitchenware is rare. Stainless steel is healthier and easier to clean.

The mess tin is very decent and solid. It easily holds a full two-course meal, which is a big advantage. You can freely use it over a fire to heat up food or water. It has a classic shape and is very versatile. I sincerely recommend it.

Good mess tin, made of durable material, does its job. The lock at the bottom is a bit loose, but you can quickly fix it with pliers.

I recommend it, very good choice.

I recommend it, it's great for cooking outdoors.

Product as described.

There's nothing to complain about. An inexpensive and functional vessel. It's important that it's flat – as long as backpacks are flat, most round pots won't fit.

The mess tin was carefully made. It's taller than our WP and has an extra element inside. I’m curious how the exterior paint will endure heating over a fire. However, the material seems a bit more delicate than the Polish equivalent; there's already a chip in the paint on the new vessel.
